Honestly, disappointed. $20 ramen is crazy, it wasn’t bad but $20 you’d think it was delicious… came in looked like just one girl was working all the tables we’re dirty, we were told it was a 30 minute wait, felt like they were encouraging us to not stay but- we waited patiently for a table, felt like the waiter was rushing us to order, I almost felt bad for wanting to order more than one thing. Bill ended up being almost $60, wouldn’t come back.

Excelent service, I went in to order some take out and was greeted at the bar, offered water while I waited. Great atmosphere I regretted not dining in 😅. Definitely a must go to.

Delicious, fresh rolls. The lobster roll is at least 2 meals. We had an infant in a high chair and a 4yo, both happy and entertained. Atmosphere quiet-ish western, no Asian flavor, but nice. Quiet tonight, noisy other times we've been there. Only one beer amongst the 4 adults, no other drinks.

POKE!!!!! 9/10 for the poke bowls, I took one point away because the spicy cubed tuna was pretty spicy to the point where I had to stop but it was oh so delicious! Plum wine is light and scrumptious. I tried the lobster roll too and that was great. We will be back!

We went here for the appetizer we saw in the book. The appetizers were good, but was not expecting the long wait by servers and the 30 dollar app cost. The rolls were also expensive and I didn’t love all of them. The kids plates should be easier and they should make some simple kids rolls. Avocado rice or shrimp snow crab mini rolls. The meal for five was over 275.00 so maybe they should work on pricing too.

I don’t usually write reviews unless I’ve had an experience that really stands out, either wonderfully or… not so much. My first visit to The Blue Fish was genuinely great! I left happy, impressed, and already looking forward to coming back.

Unfortunately, my second visit didn’t quite live up to that first impression. We came in for an early dinner hoping for a smooth, relaxed experience, and with the restaurant mostly empty, things looked promising. However, we were seated near the upstairs bathroom, and the odor in that area was really unpleasant, definitely not ideal for enjoying a meal. We politely asked to be moved, and while we appreciated being accommodated, the new table was just one over, still within nose-shot. They briefly opened the patio door, which helped a bit, but the smell lingered.

Then came the food, and I was really hoping it would turn things around. Sadly, the sushi that wowed me before was off this time. We ordered four rolls, and they all had the same issue: the rice was dry, almost like it hadn’t been cooked quite right. The spicy salmon roll in particular (picture included) was a disappointment. What I loved before, a generous portion of salmon, a bit of cucumber, and that delicious pop of sesame oil, was now mostly cucumber with barely a trace of salmon, and no sesame flavor at all. It felt like a completely different roll.

The saving grace was the Yellowtail Heaven, it was still fantastic, just like last time. And our server was kind and courteous, though I didn’t get a refill on my tea, which was a small letdown.

This place isn’t exactly budget-friendly, so I do hope they can tighten up on consistency with both food and service, and maybe freshen up the dining 🚽area too. I really want to love this place, especially as a local who enjoys supporting great spots. Unfortunately, I'm not sure they'll be a third visit.

Blown away by how delicious the food was and how kind and attentive staff was! Shoutout to Stephanie for accommodating to my large party! We ordered multiple delicious cocktails, and ordered some recommended sushi dishes which ended up being amazing. If you’re looking for Japanese food in Breckenridge with the best service, then this is the place to go.
