Our only night in town and we stopped in here. Enjoyed the patio in the front as it is fun to watch people as we relax. We had the margherita pizza and it was good. Plenty of fresh basil unlike some places. Good cheese and nice thin, but crispy crust. The marinara could have used more flavor, but overall very good. Stag salad was excellent with a great combination of ingredients where everything worked together and nothing overpowered the other things.

The Charlie Old Fashioned was wonderful as was the trout. Nice to see that on the menu in Colorado. Server gave wonderful service, only complaint was that when she brought the payment device it was auto selected to 25% tip and she stood there over me I guess to pressure me that I kept it at 25%. That's uncalled for.

Tourist Town tours restaurants, this place still has that country small town bar feel. I really enjoy that. We sat at the bar. The bartender was amazing. He took the time to explain the different locally made drinks. And food was on point.

This place has one of the top 3 hamburgers that I've had in my lifetime and I'm 71. That's a lot of hamburgers that I've eaten. Flying out to Colorado Springs on Wednesday from California. Can't wait to drive to Breck just eat a couple of those burgers.

UPDATE May 2025: Back again for the weekend. Dropped in twice. What chef is doing with the Mountain Trout is amazing - couscous, panchetta, garlic cream sauce, and shallots. All kinds of yum. The Wild Boar Lettuce Wraps are still are fav. You cant beat wild boar, crunchy beat sprout and that yummy sauce. Charlie the bartender was awesome! Thanks again -- Russ and Karen Meeker
UPDATE Jan 2025: It wouldn't be a trip to Breck without a visit to Blue Stag. We got completely out of our box and tried new menu items - wild boar lettuce wraps, grilled quail and wild boar meatball ramen, and kickin chicken. Some kind of delicious! Well done, chef!
We always come here when we viait Breckenridge and they never disappoint. They've added Rocky Mountain Trout to the menu and it is amazing! My new favorite!!!!

Would not recommend. The “manager” posts childish responses to real reviews as well and states their customers should’ve known all of the things they had an issue with. A man yelled at us in the parking lot and it was only until the response to my review that I realized that’s who the person we interacted with was the manager. He did not identify himself when he approached us OUTSIDE the restaurant. Expensive and food isn’t that great. Waitress was rude, we sat with empty drinks the entire time and they won’t let you split checks by item, even if you are at dinner with friends. The also placed a sticker on our car (not a tow sticker). Never have I ever been to a place that operates like this. For 22% gratuity service should be exceptional and customers shouldn’t have empty cups for upwards of 15-20 minutes. With as much as they’re charging people they should definitely be finding a way to get parking for their customers. 0/10

A smaller, cozy place with incredible food options. I had the mixed beet salad, which was amazing and the wings were meaty and juicy. My friend had the bone in ribeye and looked deliciously cooked. The server, Emma, was fantastic and attentive. I would definitely recommend this for the food, the ambience with fireplace and outside fireside seating, and even some televisions for sports.

Their menu has a wide variety of food and can appeal to all types of dietary restrictions and food preferences! I love that they allow customers to order half sizes of salad and cups of chilli. The chilli blew me away! Blue stag always has great beers on tap and makes delightful cocktails
