Everything on the menu can be gluten free and they are so friendly!
The BEST burrito in BV, also the drip coffee was exceptional and the staff is extremely friendly.

As a barista from Texas: This was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was impeccable. They had Justin Allison playing classical guitar and singing some great tunes. The entire experience brought me so much joy, I don’t think I’ll be forgetting it.

Very cool fast casual place with excellent coffee, food, and specials. We enjoyed fall specials of Almond Latte and Sassafras Matcha for beverages. The Cool River breakfast burrito packed a flavor punch and the Salome's Breakie Grilled Cheese was SO good. Great place, very friendly staff. We will definitely be back!

Food is expensive and mediocre. Coffee is the same way. Asked to leave after spending $60 on breakfast so we could work on our computers. Just go somewhere else and you’ll have a better meal and experience

Came in for breakfast before heading out on a three day hike. Breakfast sandwich was terrible. Obviously premade eggs, dry frozen sausage patty on dry toasted sourdough bread. Two sandwiches and two lattes was $46. Not worth it.

Love cool river! We’re local Salidans who usually stop for a great bite of food while we’re in BV. Quality espresso drinks and breakfast!

They menu offers espresso drinks hot or iced with several milk options. Includes the drink prices by size. Nowhere does the menu say that iced is an extra $0.50 and alt milk an extra $0.75. If you're going to charge people for these things, inform them BEFORE they order by including these extra costs on your menu.
Cool River Café is one of those feel-good spots you’ll want to return to again and again. I had a delicious lunch paired with a smooth, well-brewed cup of coffee—simple, satisfying, and made with care. The service was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even sweeter.
One of my favorite parts? The little apothecary at the front entrance—an unexpected gem. I couldn’t resist grabbing a pair of locally made beaded earrings (total vibe), and I’m so glad I did.
Great food, kind people, and a shop that adds a touch of local magic. Definitely worth the stop if you’re wandering through Buena Vista.
