Had a day off and drove down to Cañon City. Before heading to wine tasting at a local winery, we had a hankering for Mexican food. Happy that this one was right down the road from the winery. Awkward parking lot but the service and food inside made up for the quirkinesses of parking.
Seat promptly upon arrival. The restaurant is clean and staff are friendly. Took our order within a few minutes. The ice tea was very good. My partner ordered quesadillas and I ordered taquitos (one beef one chicken) with salad. Good was slow coming for a Monday lunch hour. Best Mexican food in town, try the street tacos. Nice ambience, especially for summer mariachi margarita Fridays. The family who owns it make everyone feel like close friends and service is always good. Now if they could just have a margarita made with fresh squeezed lime juice it would be 5 stars.
