The service and the food were both amazing, and the quality of the food was superb especially for the price. Love the outdoor seating area. Highly recommend!

Food was very good quality, however the price was a little steep for the amount. Was charged an extra $2.60 for extra salsa which I thought was ridiculous since it's such a small amount. Overall pretty good but may not return due to the price.

Atmosphere is really cute. The employees are all very friendly and offer great service. We stopped by on a Friday and it was after the lunch crowd so we were served quickly. Portion sizes are good and match up well with the prices. The food is good and fresh. Everything seems to have a bit of a peppery taste to it. Not chile pepper, but black pepper. Beans and rice are good.
The pork and avocado burrito with green chile was not restaurant quality. This is definitely not the place for a smothered burrito. Needless to say this place is not for me.
Service and food was amazing! Would recommend 💙

Good French Toast, eggs, and hashbrowns. Coffee had good creamer selection as well.
We absolutely love to visit here. Great little outdoor patio. The food is amazing. The gentleman who runs it is very kind. Highly recommend.
Really good food and service. They also serve really good coffee. I love their breakfast, but lunch is also really good. Their green chili is actually spicy.
We went to Ortega's after a soak at Dessert Reef, and in all honesty we were driving to another restaurant, but when my wife saw the number of cars and how busy this place looked we decided to give it a chance and we are very glad we did. I had the soup of the day (Cream of Poblano) and a patty melt. Both were well cooked and tasty. The soup was something I'd never had before and it is definitely something I'll be thinking about. The Patty Melt while a basic sandwich so often goes wrong. This one everything was cooked perfectly and the crunch of the bread and the sweetness of the onions just were on point. My wife had huevos rancheros and they were also well done. The eggs over medium were perfectly cooked, and it wasn't completely covered in beans which many places do.
If you're in the area while it's off the beaten path make a trip a few blocks over. The food and service were great, and the next time we go to Dessert Reef or to Florence we will be checking this place out again. I don't have any pictures because I'll admit I was starving and just went to town.

This has been the same fabulous place since the 1980s and it's still fabulous now after all this time. Authentic and happy.
