I felt like I was transported back into a 1940s soda pop shop with the dark red round bar stools attached to the counter and all the 1940 news media pinned up on the opposite wall. My mom who is 91 confirmed the authenticity of the atmosphere when she said she had not been to a place like this since she was 16 yrs old. Very well done!”

“My mom and I went here a few years ago and stumbled across Nirvana Culinary Paradise, a lovely restaurant serving Indian cuisine located in the heart of Cañon City, Colorado. The food here is absolutely amazing and even that’s an understatement. After taking my first spoonful of savory curry consisting of a variety of exquisite flavors, I instantly felt a wave of relief wash over me. For the first time in my life, I felt alive. I wasn’t simply existing at this point, but I was experiencing happiness in its truest form. Imagine being abandoned by your tour group in the wilderness all because you left a trail of snacks behind the group to almost get mauled by a very hungry grizzly bear. Now you’re lost, afraid, and the coldest you’ve ever been. The next few days, you see the first car since the tour group left you in the boonies to die. A sweet, elderly woman with grandma vibes rolls down her window and offers you a lift. You are alone and have no other options or place to go, so you accept her offer. She brings you to her quaint, peaceful home and wraps you up in a cozy plush blanket. You feel warmth not only on your skin, but in your heart. You feel safe. You feel comfort. You feel unconditional love. That’s the same feeling you will get from Nirvana Culinary Paradise.”

“This place has the best Mexican food I have had since I left Tucson. And that says a lot. Because anyone who knows, knows the Mexican food in Tucson and points south of there, is the best in the country. Hands down. This place is as authentic as it gets outside the old pueblo!! “Since the hotel restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, we decided to have dinner at the bar instead. We didn't regret it for a second! The service was lovely, and the food was exactly what we needed: the ribeye was cooked perfectly to order (no mashed potatoes, as requested) and came with a really delicious cowboy butter. The decor matches the rest of the hotel and the 1887 Restaurant—wonderfully done and a beautiful renovation!”

“Today as "newish" residents of Cañon, was our 2nd time at Happy Endings, and our good impressions were equal to our first. Beginning with Rae's greeting and attention to detail both for our order and comfort. She checked on us at perfect intervals and brought Cynthia, the chef, to meet us when we complimented our meals, from presentation to flavor. Cynthia told us a little about how she and the small crew which included Joe, turn out "miracles" on their small grill housed in the kitchen. In addition, we each took half of our breakfast sandwich and southwest wrap home for later! We'll be back for thirds and more!”

“Just to establish things, I was once the customer service manager at Macy’s in Bloomingdale’s. As such, I tend to notice the way that representatives of companies handle themselves. So recently on a Friday afternoon, we had gone to three restaurants. The first two were so busy and understaffed that we left. We found ourselves going into Dairy Queen. The lobby was full of people standing around waiting on food and just a general air of chaos. And then. Chantelle Read us at the counter with a very warm smile. She looks so happy to be there that it made me feel better about being there. And I even remarked on her And how much I meant to the customer. This lady needs to be commended for her terrific smile in her terrific attitude.”
