After driving over it was discovered that the business was unexpectedly closed last Friday night (both website and Google showed it should’ve been open), so best to call to make sure they’re actually open before wasting your time and gas.
The free sampler of Cajun classics was a nice touch. Got the seafood platter: seafood was pretty good - especially the catfish (large filets, nice subtle flavor), coleslaw was good (and I’m very picky about my coleslaw) but way too small a portion size, the two small hush puppies were different somehow but still good, and the large portion of fries were just okay (the Cajun seasoning was more salt than seasoning). The waitress only gave me a small container of tartar sauce and by the time I was able to ask for a second the rest of the catfish had cooled to room temperature (got busy and only one server on duty, despite another obvious employee just sitting around). If you’re into salads they only have ranch and balsamic vinegar dressings.
The ‘gumbo matters’ sign felt too close to the ‘tell me you’re racist without telling me you’re racist’ category.

Excellent! I don't like catfish, however, I got the small seafood platter, excellent! Ate all of the fish, including the catfish which was the best I have had! Great service as well. Glad we stopped in for lunch!

Ordered a small catfish-and-shrip platter. Got a plate with half a catfish fillet (fried) and two medium shrimp (fried), a little coleslaw, and some very forgettable fries. My bowl of crawfish etoufee was mostly a thick broth, not much crawfish. For $40 I could have had a far superior seafood meal up in the Springs. I pass through Canon City all the time, but I won't return to this place.
Food was delicious and service was quick! Loved the catfish and my husband loved the voodoo pasta. We got some boudin balls as well. Really appreciated the sampler they gave us as y’all can tell by the pictures lol. If we are ever in the area, I’d definitely stop by again.
