Friendly service and good food, only thing is the restaurant only has about 3 people working so you wait a while to place your order & food. Price is okay, food was great definitely worth the wait. I had a shredded chicken chimichanga and it was DELICIOUS. As well as the chori queso appetizer, a must have. Salsa & guacamole are delicious

Excellent food and drinks. We had a rough day of camper problems and picked this place to sit down and unwind. The food and margaritas were excellent. You never know when trying new places, but I wish I had this restaurant in my hometown, I would probably eat there at least once a week. If I’m traveling through Carbondale again, I would return.

My boyfriend and I came to Mi Casita for dinner one summer night. We were quickly seated and given complimentary chips and salsa. For food, we ordered a chori-queso taco, some enchiladas, and a shrimp quesadilla. Thank goodness for the chips and salsa, because everything majorly slowed down after that. It took forever to get our order taken, get our food, get water refilled, and even to get our check to leave. The food was decent, but waiting for a cup of water after a big salty meal on a hot summer day was an extremely miserable experience. Our server was nice but hardly visible. On the plus side, we had enough leftovers to make a small meal for the next day. However, I am not sure if that was due to the food portion size or due to eating an entire bowl of chips and salsa while waiting for our food. Mi Casita has decent Mexican food, but ridiculously slow service is not a homely feeling.
Great place with great food. They will accommodate people with dogs on the patio. Very good service. We will try to make this one of our regular stops when we are up in the Carbondale area. We must apologize for our dog being a little grumpy.

We ate there last night for the first time, and will definitely go back. The owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. They had an interesting menu, all the standards plus more interesting offerings. We loved the taco salad, and the house margarita was really good. Also enjoyed the nachos with carnitas. Prices were good.
