Alissa, my server was excellent. Can't say enough good things about her. I special order my meal and it comes out exactly as ordered. She is prompt on keeping my beverage refilled.

Great, friendly service and the food was really well done! I haven't been to an Applebee's in years because I had remembered it being too salty (even for the salt fiend that I was at the time). Now, I'm on a strict low salt diet and am super sensitive to it, but their cooks nailed it! The taco apps were fresh and delicious and the roast beef sandwich was perfect. I also don't drink much anymore, but tried the signature specialty drinks and their mixology team crafted really great spring cocktails. I sampled three different ones (wasn't driving) but got too sugared up. (Nothing wrong with the drinks... just me. Ha!) Next time, I want to try the frozen colada special, which looks great.

Knowing we weren't coming here for a gourmet meal, we didn't really have the bar set too high. When we walked in and immediately heard a waiter apologize again for a family's experience, perhaps we should've lowered it even more. We were seated before long, but then we waited a long time for our waiter to come talk to us. So long in fact that we had our entire order ready to go when he arrived. My wife had the 8 oz sirloin, and I had the Bourbon Street Steak, which is basically the same thing, but with a garlicky butter sauce, mushrooms, and onions. In the pic, it looked really good. Drinks came out relatively fast, and our food came out not too long after. I'm not sure if the location is to blame or those in charge of photography for the menu should get lots of credit, but our meals didn't look like the photos. Nothing like the photos. I guess my wife's broccoli did, but that was it. If my steak had a rich garlicky sauce on it, you couldn't tell, and had I known the garlic mashed potatoes would look like something from an elementary school cafeteria as opposed to what the menu showed, I wouldn't have gotten them. My wife liked her steak, but mine had no flavor, I didn't care for the mashed potatoes either. I'm guessing we'll come back and both get the 8 Oz sirloin, especially by adding salads and getting both for $32. Her broccoli was good, so I'll get that and see if I can swap the mashed potatoes for something else. Service wasn't great, but it sounds like they were understaffed. We asked for refills during the meal, but then the waiter started helping others and clearly forgot about us. By the time we flagged him down, we were done with our dinners. Definitely could've used those drinks 10-15 mins sooner. I know it's Applebees, but I'm not sure if the eating in the neighborhood was anything to brag about tonight.
