Glacier Ice Cream & Gelato

Gluten Free. If you’re gluten sensitive or celiac be careful … They don’t have labels in store on their flavors (which I think would be easy to do). However they do tell you which flavors are gluten free on their website, but the seasonal flavors don’t get added, so at your own risk. We went in today and they didn’t have bing cherry (my GF go to here) so I asked the associate which ones were gluten free and she said anything without a cookie or crumble. I picked the praline after she says it was GF, but confirmed on their website before checking out that it in fact is not GF even though she confirmed I was safe. I just really think labels aren’t hard to make and it takes the stress out of worrying about a reaction to your ice cream. Otherwise, BEST ice cream I may have ever had to be honest.

Soupy melted ice cream. Came specifically for peppermint ice cream and forgot half the ice cream fridge doesn’t freeze their ice cream. So, asked if they would switch out the bucket with another in the back. Nope. We won’t be back for melted ice cream.

A few non-sorbet dairy-free options! (And also sorbet). The Pink Cadillac is sadly not dairy free, but my friend said it was amazing.

Their Coffee Caramel Crunch is the best coffee ice cream I’ve ever had! It has Oreo style cookies mixed in - love the flavor and texture it adds to the full bodied coffee flavor of the ice cream. Delicious!

Glacier has the best ice cream and Gelato in Colorado. It's perfection. I really wish they hadn't closed up shop in Cherry Creek, but at least this location is close-ish.

I’ve been giibv there since they opened and got hooked on one of their signature flavors Jamaican coconut.. I’ve been there three times this summer and they’ve had Jamaican Coconut once. It’s a summer flavor so why don’t they have it? I even encountered the owner tonight and he Didn’t seem to have a reason why he didn’t have it on the floor. The ice cream is a very expensive and it’s mediocre at best. We won’t be returning. And God bless the teenagers who worked their butts off to serve us.

Just an update. I went on the glacier website this morning to see what their flavors were, just hoping they would put out the Jamaican Coconut. The website said that they had Jamaican Coconut out on the floor so I took my family down to Castle Rock today just for the ice cream. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was no Jamaican Coconut, in fact, the young lady that helped us said that they didn’t even have any in the freezer in the back. So it was a trip for nothing.

When we got in line it was short but we looked behind us and it had grown! Seems like a bustling, popular place. I got a banana split with some gelato favors but in retrospect I should have gotten ice cream ones. Plus I think they forgot to give me banana now that I come back to review ? I wish there were a bit more seating but enjoyed my gelato and the overall experience.

Was here 20 minutes before closing and was denied service. Absolutely ridiculous.

Glacier is on our must-go list when we visit DTC. Just try to pick a flavor! There are so many great ones. Thanks for making great gelato & ice cream!

Parking: Glacier Ice Cream & Gelato is set within the boundaries of a strip mall, so their parking is extensive.

Kid-friendliness: You can be sure kids (and ice-cream-crazed adults like me) are the bread and butter of any ice cream shop. This one is very kid friendly.
