Great location, nice views and a cool restaurante. Horrible food.
The beans and rice must have came from a premade bag.
The enchiladas are made with yellow cheese and a premade wrap as the crust.
Their carne guisado was basically cut up meat chunks with pre bottled salsa on it.
The drinks arrived after the food and weren’t spectacular for the price.

Great views and service. Food very average. Drinks are outrageously high priced ($14 for margaritas), but if there just for drinking and the view, may be worth it for a good time.

I love la Loma but will think twice before ordering carry-out from the CR location again. This is the third time they’ve missed certain elements of their dishes in our order. If you order a side or extra of something, you must check before leaving because it’s often missed. We ordered stuffed sopapillas and the sour cream and even the green chili was missing. Ordered green chili as a side as an extra to ensure this wouldn’t happen…and they didn’t even include that. One time they replaced the rice with a salad?? I called finally, letting them know I could swing by and pick up the side of chili that I paid for (was only a few mins away), and the carry-out guy argued with me over whether there was green chili on the dish 🙃. They did bring it out but only 2oz cup. I was done trying.
Don’t get me wrong, we love this place and will continue to go in-person, but I cannot justify spending $50-70 on a carry out meal over their constant mistakes. It’s just not the same.

This was my first time visiting this venue - and what a beautiful location, you have the view of the mountains in Castle Rock, the windows allow so much sunlight and the open space is really nice, creating opportunities to feel comfortable and not so crowded.
So my hubby and I hungry after church decided on lunch and I ordered the steak fajitas with queso and he ordered Carne Guisada which is Top sirloin tips grilled in a spicy jalapeno and tomato salsa. Served with rice, black beans and house-made flour tortillas. But he wasn’t happy. It had no flavor and the meat was tough. It was just sirloin chopped with some salsa on top and rice.
I ordered the steak fajitas and they came out smoking with queso cheese and a side of rice and black beans. It can with amazing Tortillas, fresh and so soft. A side of guacamole, shredded cheese, limes, green chilies and sour cream and tons of grilled onions. To top my drink off I got a coke to wash it down.
Our server was Katlyn and she was very pleasant. With my husband not happy with the outcome of his order we spoke to the amazing manager, Bailey. We talked about the meal my husband ordered and how it just didn’t hit the mark and she understood and we aren’t the only ones who experience that order. It really needs love and flavor, I know the recipe is family/chain but if
You add some heat, peppers 🌶️ green pepper 🫑 and jalapeños it could be a game changer. Bailey apologized and took the meal off and offered us a desert and a cup of coffee and oh my!
The desert was the best part of my experience!!
Mud pie is what it’s called! Coffee ice cream and frozen Oreo cookie crush and topped with yummy whipped cream and a cherry - sitting in a bed of white and milk chocolate!!! The best for a chocoholic like me!! If anything I will come back just for the dessert it self!
After we ate we went out on the little path they had an outdoor sitting area to enjoy the view!
Parking: Beautiful spot for view and a great date night

This La Loma is very good, but not near as good as the La Loma in down
town Denver. They have the same menu but not the same chef. In this case, it makes a significant difference. The quality of the beef in their Carne Guisada is of a lesser grade than that used by their Denver restaurant.
That being said, I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the grounds. The restaurant has a lot of windows facing south and west giving one a view of the hogback and the growing city. The facility has a patio and a conversation pit with a fire pit and seating for a sizeable group.
The landscaping around the facility, while minimal, appears to be based on a good design. I look forward to seeing what it looks like in the spring, summer and fall.

View was fantastic and the meal was delightful. Had a great night out
Veryyy nice atmosphere. Also, veryyyy average food. I’ve ordered numerous things off of the menu and I’ve been most happy with the chimichangas. That being said, I’ve certainly had better chimichangas for quite less. That atmosphere is unbeatable though. Hence why i keep going back lol.

Great atmosphere, service is excellent, food is good but not excellent. The drinks are way overpriced. You can hardly taste the alcohol at $15+ per drink.
Great atmosphere. The wait was an hour and 30 minutes for a table for 10 on a Sunday. Was it worth the wait...I would say so. The waitress was great through our dining experience. I had the Texas Platter, and it was great. The steak was cooked to perfection. We had to have the sopapias, and they, of course, were great. Out of the people that ate, no one had an issue with their food. We would definitely recommend this place and will eat here again.

A mediocre experience:
Hard to find a parking spot
* Sunday afternoon: a 45 minute wait and yet a large section on the east side not in use? our waitress Katelyn wasn't very attentive. Definitely not worth a special trip from Colorado Springs. Even if I was already in Castle Rock, I don't know I would go here again.

Food was great and so is the atmosphere but I will say Chauncey may need some more training with customer service.
Served us our drinks (ice tea and my daughter had a margarita). Took our order and never saw him again until the check came. Would have been nice to get another round of drinks but after seeing him service the tables around us and not us we decided to close it out.

Placed a curbside pick up order, waited 15 minutes after we called to let them know of our arrival before we finally just went inside to get it. Just to find out our order is missing items. It’s insane to me that for what they charge this is the service you get. The staff are nice enough but what’s the point of offering a service that you can’t follow through on. By the time we actually got our correct order it was 40 minutes after we placed our order.

The combo appetizer was so delicious! I tried the chimichanga with beef brisket and the meat was so tender and flavorful. Can’t wait to for my next visit! Also we were celebrating a birthday and did not get a treat like the table next to us did celebrating a birthday..

Good place and service is awesome! But I ordered fajitas and steak. Fajitas are really good 🙌 , NY strip is bit salty so only ate half of it cus salt is bit much for me to finish! Drinks were awesome we had the strawberry marg non alcoholic and a beer loved it . Disappointed with steak cus it’s 42$ but not worth it. Overall good restaurant I refer it but maybe avoid steak or ask for less salt

They add sneaky pork
This is a bizarre effort to elevate dive restaurants all over Southern Colorado, and New Mexico that serve this exact same food while incorporating that type of restaurants most toxic trait. They put giant chunks of pork and pork lard into dishes without listing pork as an ingredient or telling you there is pork. This is something that happens sometimes in lower end restaurants in New Mexico or probably Mexico, this is not an acceptable practice anywhere. Any decent restaurant serving this type of food list its ingredients properly.
This practice is offensive to Jewish people Muslims, vegans, vegetarians, and harmful to anyone with alpha gal syndrome. In a bizarre effort to placate me after I got a pork filled meal that I did not request, they sent over their token and Jewish waitress to talk to us. This was a very bizarre experience, and I certainly hope they pay her a lot to be their token Jewish staff member. So weird. So offensive. Not her personally she is nice. But it is a bizarre practice. She disappeared after I stopped talking about the pork incident and my goy waiter reappeared.
I definitely will not be eating at La Loma again and I think this practice is a public health violation.
