New the Canon area, we are all about trying new restaurants and we have actually been to DiRito's twice in last couple months, so it is obviously a winner. We first did DiRito's on a Friday evening for dinner. I have lived in Canon City for over 7 years and have never had the opportunity to stop in. I finally got the opportunity at lunchtime so I was pretty excited. We came in (two guests) and were greeted by a server who was filling out some paperwork on a clipboard. I appreciated her acknowledging our presence. Excellent food and service. We were there for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. Pasta dishes were big enough to share (if you are not a voracious eater), sandwiches, calzones, personal pizzas and salads rounded out the lunch menu. Our waitress was very attentive. Priced were in the $8/person range. The atmosphere is as a low key homey, family restaurant. Beer and wine are served, although we didn't sample any.
