“Literally just happened upon this place on a walk with a friend staying at the Fairfield Inn across the street. This is exactly what you’d want in a sports bar & great bar food! Service was excellent & all of the people working there we encountered were very pleasant and eager to make our experience positive. Loud, vibrant sports fans, which was fun! Burgers & fries looked amazing, but our salads really stole the show! I had the Harvest Salad with added chicken. The chicken was sooooo good (how do they make it so tender & juicy when it’s NOT FRIED!?) & the salad had sooooooo many tasty ingredients with fab dressing!“

My wife and I absolutely love this place. The Agua de Casa, Blonde Negroni, Oaxacan Old Fashioned, and Adelita's Espresso have been our favorites so far. We will be back soon and often!“

“If you want to play pool and mingle with a bunch of cool people, this is the place to go! There's a smoking lounge outside. The staff are very friendly and ready to serve up some cocktails. The owner is pretty cool too! They don't have many food items, but the pizza is always hot. All and all, it's great place to hang out.“

“This was my first time to Rare Bird sine they open the rooftop pizza kitchen and it was amazing! We went for one of their Bird Dog nights and enjoyed pizza and drinks on the roof. I got the mushroom pizza and it was Devine! I’m vegan and by leaving off the cheese I got a delicious vegan dinner full of flavorful veggies. I highly recommend!“

“This place is incredible! My wife and I love a hometown dive and we found it on our trip to Denver last week. Megan the bartender and the owners were awesome and everyone was very welcoming. We spent a few hours here and would have stayed longer if we didn’t have to meet some friends downtown (womp womp) 10/10 Will be going back next trip and can’t wait!!“

“Friends and I were here for a girl's night, and honestly, it was an excellent experience. We had a group of 12 so I reached out a few weeks beforehand via the website to see if we could do reservations, and was contacted by the owner, Adam.

Adam immediately offered table reservations, checked in with us on the day of, and once we showed up, even sent us a round of shots. The staff was also great, with prompt service at the bar, and quickly clearing our empty glasses from our table, and the drinks were excellent, decently priced, and fun. Our group loved the variety in creative drinks and there was something for everyone.

There was a singles event that was occuring at the same time, but it didn't conflict with our group and low-key made for fantastic people watching. The DJ afterwards was also super entertaining - they brought physical records! - and some of our group decided to go dance to the music.

Overall, a fantastic night spent at the L, and I will definitely recommend this place to others as well.“

“This place is a break from the usual. Also they have a genuine staff in here. No one hesitated to answer a single question. I made a bottle cap opener and it was a lot of fun. Also try their version of your favorite drink in the specialty cocktail menu!!!! The Trapeze Tea was delicious 😋“

“I don’t even know where to start—this place is dangerously good. Ice-cold draft beers, free bingo on Tuesday, and free pool? I’m half convinced they’re trying to keep me here forever. The moment I walked in, I felt like I’d just stepped into my living room—if my living room had a better beer selection and someone named Mel, who is hands down the best bartender I’ve seen in 35 years. I’ll be making “accidental” trips to Colorado just so I have an excuse to come back. only thing you have to worry about is make sure you clean up the bingo sheets if you don’t you have to answer to Mel.100/10“

“Great selection of beers in cans, bottles, and several on tap. Drink specials are super reasonable. Just happened to be sitting up at the bar when a company came through just to service the beer tap lines. The guy performing the maintenance said they clean the lines every other week! I felt so comfortable with the staff and customers, I went back the next night. Karaoke was a blast (no cover), free poker had a fun vibe, and the place was hopping with darts and pool players. Will def go back.“

Friends and I played several rounds of pool unbothered and had great cheap drinks in the meantime. Would recommend to anyone looking for a chill, old school pool hall.“
