If you don't care about eating somewhere that is not trendy, I can recommend El Karajo. Great food, fun drinks, great service, a laid back atmosphere, and at a reasonable price.
The waiter and waitresses were amazing. The food amazing. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The Menudo... Top notch. Last menudo I had that was that good was my Abuela's. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Mexican food done right!
We are always on the lookout for good Mexican restaurants. I decided to try this one on a whim given the high star rating. Plus it's much closer to where I live. Don't let the outside deceive you. The inside is exactly as you would expect in a Mexican restaurant.
