We had a wonderful time for New Year's Eve! It was my birthday celebration and we had a very nice room and beautiful gift basket. The NYE dinner (for staying guests) was very delicious! Prime rib was perfect, along with salmon and all of the side dishes! The staff members were all fabulous and helpful! We had a ton of fun and plan on returning next year! Thanks Grand Z's!
I can't really give an honest good review because of the following factors. I will say because of the phone experience and then the experience I had with supposed manager of the hotel. Well has made me NOT want choose there a establishment to stay when going up the hill, which is sad because my mother and my self were frequent flyers of Fortune valley. We had a friend of ours who was going to be leaving out of town and we're not for sure when we're going to see him again. We decided to meet him halfway and we chose Central City Blackhawk to stay out for the evening to say our goodbyes. No don't get me wrong I'm not heartless I understand accidents happened and let me be clear I was very concerned about the bus that tipped over I made sure that nobody was hurt that everybody was okay I even asked to make sure that all employees had a safe place to stay at. I had called to book my free room that I had with green z hotel and casino when a lady named Mary Kay answered the hotel desk. Mind you I have been to this establishment 1 other time and I was on edge oh how I'd like it. As you guessed it Mary Kay helped me out the first time with getting me my players card. She couldn't answer any questions that I had it made it seem like I was being a nuisance and I was bothering her even though she was supposed to be doing her job. I just tried to shut it off try to make you laugh a little bit that obviously didn't happen and just went about my night I wasn't going to think too much about it but first impressions not great. So imagine my surprise when Mary Kate answers the phone for the hotel. Mary Kay let me know that it was snowing really bad that's a roads were really bad. And I probably wouldn't be able to get up there. To me and my husband, it sounded like she was trying to talk us out of coming up. She then goes quiet and I can hear talking in the background I say hello a couple times. No answer 2 minutes go by and she says hello. I even responded back with hello. She's in proceeds to tell me that a bus tipped over and it's blocking entrance and exit from Central City to Blackhawk Colorado and they don't know how long it's going to be blocked off for so they're not taking reservations and I shouldn't come up tonight. I then proceeded to say I hope everybody is okay I hope nobody's hurt I will discuss this with my husband and call you back. I waited a good 10 minutes to make sure that if people on the bus needed to get rooms or what not that they were taking care of first and because Mary Kay seemed very flustered at that point I didn't want to not have her full attention. When I call back of course Mary Kay answers again. She then proceeded to tell me that they're all booked up for the night that she told me that the road was blocked and that there's no way in or out of Central City which in fact I know that's a lie because you can go up i-70 through Idaho springs to get to Central City without even going through Blackhawk. That's neither here or there. Is it nice to talk to my manager because she is just very rude telling me what I should and shouldn't do being very short with me telling me she's not going to a girl for me and then asked me to the manager and she tells me that he went to bed already. I thought that was quite odd she then said I don't have time for this and hung up on me. Customer service for 20-plus years. I've seen businesses crumbled to the ground because of bad employees because of employees who don't do there job and have horrible attitudes. My husband and I eventually made her way up the mountain. We got up a bonanza by 8:00 so we're here early. I make my way to the green sea hotel and asked to speak to my manager. Now if this is your manager I really hope this is just a shift manager for your guys's sake because not only did he lie to me. Saying that he was there when I talked to Mary Kay both times when he wasn't and I caught him red-handed in the LIE

Only visited the casino. Had not been there in over an year and was unhappy that a lot of the older machines are gone.
Hotel made a mistake and put through another pending charge for a night we weren't even booked for. We were told it would be taken care of that afternoon. It wasn't. 3 days later I speak with Mary Kay who doesn't care that it's their mistake and suggest i contact my bank. With all of the pending charges they are holding over $600 for a two night stay that was supposed to be comped. Do not stay at this casino. They don't care about their guest and don't care if they make mistakes that affect you. That so called supervisor was so rude, cut me off and blindly transferred me into someone's voicemail. No apology, no sympathy just whatever I don't care attitude.

Stayed here last minute while in the area. Our concierge provided an exceptional check-in. I didn't know what to expect upon arrival, and with what we were dealing with at the time, we greatly appreciate the service. Prabath is exceptional at customer service and providing a good customer experience! The entire interaction was positive and quite unexpected in today's world! I wish I took pictures. However, we were attempting to forget about our current situation, and I regretfully did not take pictures. The hotel looks fairly remodeled and/or updated. The room was clean, although small, but large enough. The casino is small but clean and has updated machines. Minimal waitress and bartender service, however, it was slow enough for a Saturday and Sunday that we felt we received good service and enjoyed the entertainment behind the bar with maintenance and the bar tenders!

Great deal! Rooms clean, bed comfy, location convenient, staff friendly. Cute doggie park! Elevators require a room key to access the 3rd & 4th floor guest rooms which is great! Parking was convenient. Central City is like a time machine back in history. This is not meant to cater to anyone other than a place to stay and electronic gambling if that's for you. I liked the self-service soda, coffee & tea machines! The only thing that I feel could have been better was the food. They have minimal items to choose from and it isn't always very tasty. (Hashbrown breakfast was extremely dry!) I would also have liked to have more promotional info on the town itself. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

$150 for incidentals and $17 a day for a resort fee!!!! You’re out of your mind. There isn’t anything resort about the place. No pool, no ocean view, no palm trees. The
rooms are good and so are the people. But Maverick gaming blows. Bring back the Reserve or fortune valley!
Rooms: Rooms are solid but nothing amazing, which is fine. Good for the price, but the incidental price and RESORT fee is a joke
