EAT HERE! Casino towns are notorious for terrible food. This joint is the best food I've had up here. It's honestly odd that it is tucked away upstairs at the casino. Not expensive. Just great.

What a Gem this is! Brought our family to this cute spot in Blackhawk for breakfast. The portions were huge and the prices inexpensive and the food was delicious! Our waiter was attentive and kind. Loved the old timey feel. I was worried there would be a long wait but we were seated quickly and in and out in about 40 minutes.
Parking: We parked behind the building but there was plenty of street parking

Great place to be ignored for 20 minutes after being told to take whatever seat. Never came around with a menu or anything. There were only 2 other tables occupied, so it wasn't busy.
I left and went to Dostal Alley: drink and food ordered in 3 minutes.

Dated and strange decor, building is old and doesn't appear to be in good shape from the outside. Place was dead when we went Sunday morning around 830 am. Food was OK, bland, but affordable....compared to other places around the area. Our server was OK. Didn't seem to happy to be there, but that's understandable.

The food was delicious! In a mountain town with limited options, pretty much just casino buffets, this was a top tier meal. The fried chicken was so crispy and juicy, and the mashed potatoes were so smooth. 10/10 home style cooking.

We wondered in just to see what the old building looked like inside and stumbled on the restaurant upstairs. The food was fantastic, service was great, it was clean and quiet. I had the country fried steak and the french toast which I wouldnt hesitate to order again. Ill have to come back and try the lunch and dinner menu for sure.
