We came across this restaurant because we were looking to try African food around the area & were super excited. The food was very flavorful & enjoyable. However, my husband’s food came out first & my plate only came out 15 minutes after. Even though the food was amazing, the service was not the best! We let the waitress know that it was our first time hoping to get an experience & explanation of the dishes. The waitress seemed to not care & rushed us to place the order. From the moment we started eating to the moment we finished, the waitress was no where to be found & did not check up on us. We waited about 20 minutes after eating until my husband had to go up to the kitchen door & ask for the check. What drew us to this place were the reviews about how great the service & the food is but it definitely did not live up to our expectations.

Awesome food! My wife absolutely loved the fried plantains and beef stew while my son loved the jollof rice and chicken. The chicken was nice and audibly crispy. Both ate til they were stuffed. I had the banks and grilled tilapia (warning: it’s grilled fresh so takes a little longer to come out) and was so worth it. Loved the grilled skin. Definitely coming back with friends and family.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place after seeing all of the other positive reviews, we were both very happy with our experience. I went through and read the lowest reviews and can say I experienced nothing like they did. The food was hot and well prepared. The staff was very friendly and were happy to explain the dishes to the both of us. The restaurant was clean and smelled wonderfully aromatic. We will definitely be returning to try some more food!

This is my opinion.Price for what you get based on quality? AbsurdQuality of food you get? Chef Mike is in full control here. I'm unsure if the word FRESH even exists to this place.SMELL: The place reeks like farm poop. (no exaggeration here)Aight. So if you look at the type of reviews i leave, i leave reviews with the intention of "it's really not that bad, give them a try." Because lets be honest. Everyone is critic, and just because I'm not used to certain foods, doesn't mean it's bad food. However, this place was baaaaaad. We ended up at this place because it's listed as a pho restaurant, but that restaurant is closed. The smell: I've worked on farms for a good part of my life. As soon as you enter, and while sitting down, you get the incredible strong smell of a farm. I am in no way trying to imply anything by this. But it's a smell, and it smells like literal Poop. There's no way to say it nicely. Sitting here at home after 30 minutes of leaving, i can still smell it. I'm not talking like sewage poop. I'm talking like farm poop.I had fried akara, fried plantains. It was soooo soggy of oil. The taste was okay and as expected with something fried. (i mean, i can't really say if it's bad or good, just what I observed and how it tasted as such)I also had the samosa. If you know what an empanada is, that's essentially what it was, and for $10. For one. It's honestly insane. If it was extremely good, i could understand the price. But for what I got? For $10? Jesus. (complete rip)My friend had fish soup. The soup actually tasted good, as i tried a spoon full. Fishy taste indeed. He did enjoyed his soup, the fish was lacking, but he wasn't used to the kind of fish in that soup, so can't knock it. (he enjoyed it for what it was, he says "it was an experience")There was nothing I liked about this place and there is absolutely no chance I would ever eat here. That being said. Give it a try. It might be something you enjoy. However, read the other bad reviews, as they honestly aren't far off lol.And as far as the owner or management goes. If you were to at least get rid of the smell, that would be a HUGE improvement. I do believe some of the food COULD be worth it. However the smell gives off the impression that things aren't sanitary. (call me privileged because I live in the USA, but man that smell is insane for a restraunt)
