Google and the door show that they close at midnight. We attempted to stop by at 11pm and were turned away due to “manager closing down because lack of tabs”. Super disappointing to be turned away as there were patrons inside and the doors were unlocked. Disappointing experience and didn’t feel we were treated nicely upon arrival.
If you don’t plan to stay open past 11 on a Saturday night then change your hours.
The atmosphere is great, service was prompt and friendly. They successfully tip pool - meaning they work together to provide guests with the best experience.
We had an old fashioned flight and special release flight. Highly recommend

My kind of place. Always great experience. They make a meaaaaaaaan and delicious Whiskey Sour and smoked old fashioned. My go to spot in all of Colorado Springs.
Not to mention the cigars, are an amazing touch.

Axe and the Oak is a place that could be pretentious, if they wanted to. But they aren’t. I thought they were very nice with great service. My wife and I had a couple of great cocktails after dinner with a cigar and enjoyed our time there.

Good quality cocktails at reasonable prices. Wish the bartenders were friendlier. It's like pulling teeth to get a conversation going at all.

At Ivywild last night and stopped in Axe&Oak to discover EXCELLENT live music to serenade our FABULOUS beverages. Full disclosure: whiskey isn’t my first preference, yet These drinks (Oldfashions) were so good that I may need to re-think it! Much appreciate the musicians! We loved it and planning return now!
