Our group of 8 loved the experience. Beautiful old church. We received knowledgeable inputs on beer and wine. The wine and beer selection is amazing. They are very good at judging your tastes and recommend accordingly. The bartender is outstanding. Try their flights of Margarita. They make a mean Oldfashioned, great Bloody Mary. Their charcuterie board is a thing of beauty. The green mussels to die for. Everything we tried was outstanding. The server was attentive and helpful. Too bad we couldn't stay longer as a musician was arriving. Lots of outdoor seating.

Local Relic is one of several venues in this co-op/multi-concept building. My friends and I were looking for a fun dinner during an overnight in Colorado Springs. This delivered and met our expectations in every way. First, the setting is that of the first site of the oldest African American church in CO springs. Don't worry. The church still exists in another space, but the space was acquired a set of local entrepreneurs who each specialize in bar or food service. They have come together to offer a long beer menu, specialty cocktails, a diverse wine list, and great high-end bar food. The servers were so friendly and our table server and each bar explained the process with patience. It also felt good to know we were supporting the very people serving us drinks and food, local owners who source their food and drinks and who were bringing their creativity to the concept. The food and beverage was reasonable. Because we are all city dwellers, we found the prices exceptional. We tried flights of beers, as well as cocktails and a few gnoshes. The curry mussels and charcuterie were insanely good and ample. The server brought an extra try of something to my friend who doesn't eat beef. I thought that was kind and very attentive. It was hard to beat the drinks. We tried everything from whiskey drinks, to tiki style drinks, and umbrella cocktails. It all hit the mark. The vibe was laid back. The venue was open and airy with fans blowing for ideal circulation in COVID times. It felt like eating outside with better atmospherics. And the bathrooms were very clean and church stalls, so very big with lots of nice toiletries. It was delightful in every way. It would be hard to go somewhere else the next time I visited.
