We showed up with a table of 8 to have a celebratory breakfast for a birthday. The place was under staffed and that is not the fault of the servers. However, while they cannot control what happens to them they can control how they react. We are dark skinned people who NEVER “play the race card” but sometimes it looks and feels that way. We were sat fairly quickly but then waited for 45 minutes before we finally got the attention of a server to get us our drinks. In the meantime, a white family of 9 showed up and sat next to us. In the time it took to get our drinks, they were sat, got their drinks and ordered their food. We finally, after an hour and 15 minutes of sitting, waiting, the server came to the table to take our orders. When she came up the first thing she said was,”are you all in a hurry or something?”. She then took our orders and walked away with an attitude. Our food took almost another hour to be brought out. At that, they didn’t have everyone’s order. We finally got our food which was ok. I will say this, when it was time to bring the check, she was on top of it. She made sure to get here quickly for it and made sure she was charging us for every bit of it. When we asked for a manager to make it right, she said they have no manager. The ONLY person who could make that call, showed unable to work today. Not our fault. I will not be back.

This was our first time here. We were seated right away. The server was pleasant and knew the menu well. Portions were large. My only minor suggestion would be mixing the bananas in with the batter instead of putting slices on top of the pancakes.

Service was very slow. Took over 30 minutes to order. Food was average at best. Not a lot of shade outside to sit for an extended period.

I have never had such an uncomfortable experience at a restaurant like I did here. We sat outside and waited 10-15 minutes before anyone even brought us water. Food was not that great for the price. I definitely Do NOT recommend this place because of the terrible service, average tasting food and unwelcomed atmosphere.

Never again. It’s been many years since I’ve been to Bon Tons. Nothing is under $16 and the food was so subpar!!! Green Chile had no flavor! Avocado toast breakfast ($16) was a freaking joke!!! $45 for 2 crap breakfasts, one coffee and tax & tip. Wow. Nope. Used to love eating here, all they have going for them is a cute patio. Wait staff was nice though! Prices are way to high for the subpar (and small portions) 👎👎
