They totally butchered this place with the renovations. We miss the old Giuseppe's!! They used to have great pizza, French dips, bread, salad bar... They had a very warm atmosphere with a beautiful fireplace...all gone!! It was and old school Colorado Springs icon! Totally sad. You guys ruined this place in every possible way!! You took every bit of character, soul, and history out of this place. It had a beautiful bar too, which is completely destroyed now. Anyway we came back to try the burgers, and it had to be the worst burger I've ever had. Seems like the cook is lazy cooking frozen patties because all of our burgers were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Service wasn't great either. Just depressing to come here. Up your game though! Would be a perfect place for Gordon Ramsay to help even at this point. Will never return here.

The venue has a ton of character and the food was ok. But like others have said, not everything on the menu was available. I was disappointed they didn’t have the bison burger. We also heard the restaurant is closing down temporarily, and it was pretty quiet the evening we ate there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the closure is permanent.

We rolled up and parked in the parking lot at 10:55 AM, 5 minutes before they opened. The OPEN sign was displayed on the door, so we decided to go in. A woman greeted us with we're not open yet, but come on in and we'll be with you soon. After 5 minutes or so we were waited on and ordered lunch. When the food came, the waitress explained that she screwed up our order, and we had to wait while they made the second burger. The burgers were pretty good, but the service was terrible and we won't be back. There are a lot of places to choose from in town, and only the ones that provide good food and good service will survive.

This place has some beautiful view and fantastic atmosphere! I loved being able to watch the trains go by and it felt like sitting in a railway car.The food here was underseasoned. I ordered two burgers. The shroom burger and the smokestack. Both were underseasoned and undercooked. I had ordered them at medium and they came out about mid-rare. Which would have been fine if there had been some flavor aside from the bacon to stand out.I also had ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and they were fried well but smelled of fish.Their fries though were so delicious!Our server was extremely kind and all in all I respect that they are a small business. This may have been an off day in the kitchen but I don't know if I'd return with the experience I had.Kid-friendliness: This would be a fantastic place for kiddos to watch the railway cars. There is seating right next to the tracks and I could imagine a great experience for a little one who loves trains!
