This experience has got me feeling some type of way. As a child growing up..I love fish and this place has always done me justice. I love diversity and this was one of those to offer myself and family. Sorry to say, I won't be eating here anymore. It was told to me by management before my purchase that the battered dipped fish was changed and that they have a new fish in the old one's place. I was like no problem because I thought it wouldn't be that big of a difference. I got home, hungry and ready to eat as well as try out the new style fish they'd offered. Everything was nice and hot, but this was after my order was messed up the first time. Management was very kind and helpful and offered me and my daughter to remake everything at a later day. The fish is so different, it had a thin layer of pink that was kinda slimy.. OMGEE and to make matters worse it left a weird aftertaste after consuming a couple bites that just would not go away. We could not finish eating it. We ate the bread sticks and fries. We simply couldn't do it. I don't like throwing food away but in this case..I had no choice. $30.00 gone to waste. I thought it was just myself until my daughter came and said.."Mom I cannot eat this fish..what is this?" I told her about my personal experience and what had been told to me by management. I even offered my friend to try it just to see if it was just us and he said.."NOWAY..I CAN'T EAT IT ANYMORE". I'm so disappointed. I no longer will eat Captain D's. It breaks my heart because of how I enjoy this place. This is no disrespect intended to staff members nor managers. But unless they go back to the fish they originally served, my family & I will have to find a new seafood source to eat from. Good luck and best wishes. Loved the cod. Now they use white fish. Very disappointed. When a restaurant starts using cheaper fish that says something about them. Will not return.
