Black Bear (Colorado Springs - North Academy) is consistently a great place to eat. Good value for your money and the food is always good. Our server Dwan W. was a great server - very attentive, checked back often, and kept our drinks full. Thank you!

Dwan W was an amazing server very friendly, sweet and very accommodating. ive been to black bear diner but never the colorado springs one and our sever dwan made the experience worth it and were 100% going back because of her!

Camila is so sweet! The bathroom is so clean and fresh! She is a blessing!
The food was okay, some plates were hot while some others were cold. The atmosphere was as nice as expected for eating during peak time. The service definitely could have been better. When my party arrived it took them well over the estimated time that we would be sat. Tried to call ahead and was told there was no list to join and then got added to one when we arrived. The waitress was over to the table enough times to place drinks, food and the ticket. Tried to flag her down multiple times and got ignored. The quickest she was getting us something was to deliver the check. But other than that it okay.

Came from Chicago to Colorado, looked at the GPS with my wife and out of every restaurant or diner we could've chosen, we thought BBD looked the most promising. Safe to say it didn't disappoint in the slightest, excellent staff/service/atmosphere. If I'm ever back in Colorado they better expect a visit.

My kids and I were just there, served by Mrs. Dwan and couldn't be more pleased with her attentiveness, and friendly personality.
