Waited 30 minutes in line last night after ubering downtown just to be harassed by security (right side) and not let in. While searching my purse, he held up every item (tampons, prescription meds with my name on container, etc.) and interrogated me like a criminal. When asked if he would stop holding up my personal items for everyone to see, he refused me entry. Do you get paid more to treat potential customers with such disgusting behavior?
Based on other reviews, complaints to management don’t go far here, so I plan on reporting this incident to the BBB, the Colorado Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, and the local licensing board that oversees nightlife establishments. No one should have to deal with humiliation and intimidation just to go out for the night.
Went to gasoline alley instead and had a great time.

Fun place, great staff. It was super packed and the bartenders were so busy, but when we ordered 40 shots, they took the time to help us bring them to our table. Clean facilities as well, which is important to us. Great music amd food.

This last Wednesday, I was very excited to go to cowboys for the first time. Dressed up n smilin. I had my bag checked as well as my ID, and went in and got a drink upstairs. After getting a beer I went to go look around and immediately got cornered by multiple staff who were rude and aggressive. One man was so close to me I couldn't even see it said staff on their shirt. They demanded my ID, and I stepped back into the corner to see it did say staff on his shirt. I gave it to them, but I protested. I asked why, and why they were being rude; and this older man told me to get out. I am 22, almost 23. I told him I wanted to finish my beer, and he shouldn't be kicking me out for no reason. I am of legal age. I let him know he was being an asshole very calmly, and this pissed this man off. He seemed to be under the influence. I was not yet. He snatched my drink out of my hands and made other staff walk me out. My friend followed. My friend also does security for places like this, they were protesting as well; asking questions. And the same aggressive staff member stepped up to my friend outside like he was ready to fight screaming in his face. We asked for the GM, we came a long way to see this place. And this was wrong. The rude older man said we could speak to their manager, and went back inside. The staff at the door let us know the manager isn't coming and said there was no point in waiting. Also let us know the asshole was his boss and he couldn't change anything and was very sorry. I am more than disappointed and sad at this experience. Disgusted almost. And I hope you choose staff that can deal with these things differently. At least not default aggressive. There was no reason to snatch my drink or kick me out. No reason to scream. We were calm, asking questions. There was no need for escalation. I recommend Blondie's or Mansions for I never had an experience like this there. And if they aren't open, Tony's and the 555 bars are my favorites. If you are in cowboys I guess let their staff mistreat you and they will let you stay. Don't ask why if they ask u for more than required or are rude to you. And sure as hell don't call an asshole an asshole. U will get basically assaulted, screamed at, and kicked out.

I took my son on a Wednesday night he just turned 18 along with his friend. They had a blast rode a mechanical bull, played pool and did some dancing. My favorite part was the 18 and up on the second floor free selected alcohol till midnight. I will definitely come back.

I’ve been there a good amount of times, great place. I wouldn’t call this a country bar, more of a dress up bar. Out of the 15+ times I’ve been not once was there a country song playing. Some Morgan Wallen type of vibes. If that’s your thing then it’s a great place but if your looking for a traditional country cowboy type of atmosphere then this is not it.

I was double charged by the 3rd floor bar. I opened a tab and every time I ordered a drink they would charge my card. My cheap glasses of wine were $15 each!! And when I closed my tab my bill was $55 and I tipped 20. The $75 came out and the previous charges did not fall off. It has been 3 days now and they are still on my account. I truly don't understand this strategy!! I have been a bartender myself for over 5 years at 3 bars and I have never heard of this before! I'm hoping they will return the funds, as they are still "pending" but the money was definitely taken from my account because I was keeping track throughout the night. I feel like something fishy is going on with this place!!
