This is by far the best authentic Puerto Rican food I have had in Colorado Springs. It's a very family friendly environment and it reminds me of how life should be lived. Btw I'm not Puerto Rican, however I am from New York and lived in Puerto Rico for two years.
A Puerto Rican Port in the mountains with a view of Pikes Peak - one bite transports you to the 787 area code for a home cooked meal where you feel like family from the staff to the patrons - Don Guillo hits the spot when you have a desire for some amazing Puerto Rican comfort food. I felt like I was eating with family by the end of my meal. People who I sat next to were giving me a hug by the time I left with a genuine connection with food that connects us. The chicken breast and the chicken cracklings are exceptional and the garlic sauce is addictive - I Can’t wait to try the whole menu - until next time
