Tried the oysters, ribeye, roast chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and drinks. My only complaints are that the green beans were a bit harder than how we normally like them and the roast chicken didn’t stand out much, but other than that everything was enjoyable. Pleasantly surprised and loved the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant. Definitely recommend giving the oysters a try!

Used to be the go to steak house. Last few times I’ve gone the steak was SO salty it was inedible. Unfortunately I ordered the chefs cut ribeye and had to pay for something I did not eat. The waiter did not seem to care that my meal was disgusting as he did not offer to take it off. Would not recommend anymore..

I'm telling you now. You can get a better steak at Texas Roadhouse for the price of a tip in this place, our waiter was not very knowledgeable. We ordered onion rings as a side and our appetizer came with more than enough onion rings, so we've got double onion rings for nothing. The ribeye was absolutely horrendous. This was a one-timer for myself.

The food was amazing I had the Sesame Tuna, and my wife had the chicken. The staff were outstanding and helped make my special dinner (military retirement) one to remember. Our server was Jeff, he was so nice and very attentive, I will def be coming back.

We hadn't been to the Famous for quite awhile, long enough for me to kind of forget how great their steaks are. Last night I was served one of the best ribeyes I ever had. It was flavorful, tender and juicy, well prepared and slathered with bone marrow before being served. Make no mistake, I am a steak person having had great steaks at many of the acclaimed steak houses in the country including several unknown supper clubs in Montana, the rib eye at the Famous will stand with any. In addition everything that comes out of the kitchen or over the bar is superior to most as is the service.

Fantastic filet and ribeye steak. Diona was a great waitress and the bartender Bill really knows how to make the perfect martini. I love steakhouses and have frequented Elways and Shanahans in Denver and this place tops them. We will be back.

Bad food at high prices. Would never go there again. My main entree was undercooked and the veggies I paid extra for were so overcooked I could not eat. Bad experience.

Went there for our Anniversary dinner. We had filet mignon & ribeye steak for side dishes we ordered their fries & creamy spinach. Our server was so pleasant & took care of us very well. We got a free dessert for our anniversary & we were so pleased of the service, food & everything else was great! We definitely recommend!

My wife and I have lived in Colorado Springs for several years now, but had never eaten at The Famous Steakhouse. We had friends visiting from out of state, and they asked to go to a great steakhouse to eat. Their hotel was very close to the restaurant, so I recommended we should eat at The Famous. That was my big mistake. The steak selection was SHOCKINGLY disappointing. They had a very small selection, and the options they did have were pedestrian. They offered no dry-aged cuts, and no Japanese or Australian Wagyu (A5 or other). I ordered their only off-menu special, a Surf & Turf. The only aspect that was more disappointing than the minuscule portion size of the tenderloin and lobster, was the absolute generic taste of the food. It was not horrible, but it was FAR from fantastic. If I looked in the kitchen and saw my neighbor with his BBQ grill, I would not have been shocked...because it tasted like average to below-average backyard BBQ. The service was fair (not amazing, but also not horrible). The ambience was fair (not amazing, but also not horrible). Bottom line: The Steakhouse at Flying Horse, Prime 25, Cowboy Star, and McKenzie Chop House all completely CRUSH The Famous Steakhouse!! I wanted to love it...I thought we would love it...really really disappointed that we disliked it.

Hit all the notes of a classic steakhouse. Perfectly cooked steak with a salty delicious crust. Hand stuffed blue cheese olive martinis. Frank Sinatra. Etc. Oysters were mid but it's a steakhouse not a raw bar so doesn't affect my overall opinion. But if the restaurant management reads this, putting the oysters on crushed ice is a must. Serving them on a plate with no ice is no bueno. Overall would recommend, the steak was top shelf. The Bourdain print in the back was a nice touch

The food and staff were amazing. We're from AZ and we wanted a good steak, so we went Og Google and found this place. We walked in and they told us they were busy with reservations, but still got us a table. It was an overall very nice restaurant and the music was great.
