We got a couple hoagies for lunch that were great. Also grabbed a loaf of bread and cookies for later; those did not disappoint. Great place with nice people that I would recommend to anyone.
This is perhaps the best bread I have ever had. After hearing about it from multiple people I stopped by to try a croissant. It was flaky, warm, and just perfect. The breads are artistry. This looks like a European store. Everything I tasted and saw looked amazing. Considering their was a line before they opened on a Friday morning says a ton. Most people were getting multiple items. Just go!
What a find! This place is fabulous - everything from baguettes and croissants to seedy rye. This will become a weekly ritual.
This is an update.... I've been back twice since my original visit because of the reply I received from the owner from my original review. I do like the small-town cafe feel it has, I've seen some of the same customers there every time I've gone there. The waiter is always courteous and friendly and efficient. The food is a 50/50 though. On the 2nd visit all the food was all done very well, everything was made to my specifications and done right. But the 3rd visit wasn't so great. The bacon was obviously made earlier and put under a heat lamp, it was so dry that it just crumbled into pieces when I took a bite, the biscuits and gravy was cold and I don't mean kind of cold, it was inedible. But everything else was really good. So you take your chances. I feel compelled to return even if just for the atmosphere and cute waiter and to try other foods. I think the difference in food prep is probably just different cooks and one is more experienced than the other, but that's just a theory.
