We purchased a family bundle. Generous and delicious. The sauce was outstanding. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area on a fishing trip. Great friendly service.

Had an odd experience here today. Our family orders large takeout orders from Holy Smokes multiple times a year for birthday gatherings, but this was the first time we ate inside the restaurant. For starters, I have two small children ages 1 and 4. My children are extremely picky eaters. Before getting to the restaurant, we skimmed a to-go menu we had at home and the menu they have on Facebook- neither had a kids menu or kid options. So, to ensure that my babies got fed, we stopped by a fast food restaurant to get a "safe food" for them to enjoy while the three adults in our party got to enjoy BBQ. As soon as we sat down at Holy Smokes, our waitress brought us two small plates and proceeded to tell us that EVERYTHING that was fast food related had to go (we hadn't even had the chance to get any of the food out!)... we were baffled and confused as this has never happened in four (nearly five) years of parenting and eating out (which we do very often). She made us dump all fast food on to the plates, not allowing us to leave any of the food in its original packaging, and I had to stash away drinks into our diaper bag and save for when we got back into the car. The waitress was friendly enough and proceeded to tell us it was the owner's request and that he doesn't allow food with any other "restaurant's" name on it. Now let me clarify AGAIN, this was food for my ONE YEAR OLD and FOUR YEAR OLD. And again, this has NEVER been an issue at any other restaurant in town... and we've been to them all. This experience made us extremely uncomfortable and slightly embarrassed. We won't be back just for this reason, which sucks because the food is good. But I can't support a business that I can't feed my children at. Maybe have kid menus for parents to look at beforehand if bringing outside food is such a huge deal??? Because as stated, I checked previously and could not find a kids menu anywhere. If I was able to see a kids menu to ensure my children had food they would eat, I would have never brought outside food in.

You want great slow cooked BBQ?? Must come here. Outside it looks a bit decieving. Must go inside! My favorite is the stuff baked potato. Meal on its own! You will not be disappointed going here!

Stopped for take out & ordered the family pack with chopped pork, bbq beans & smoked mac & cheese. The pork was absolutely delicious! The beans just tasted like right out of the can, no meat in them just some chunks of onion & peppers. The mac & cheese was runny with no smoke flavor. I will go back for just the bbq meat by the # make my sides at home.

First time here and was surprised. Parking lot too small for the customer base. We had to wait 15 for tables to be cleaned but not restaurant's fault only one server on a Saturday. She was running in circles. As typical with BBQ, food came out quick and was . We are BBQ snobs coming from Kansas City. Serving sizes were extremely small for the price. Not sure we will be back.

The Holy Toledo is amazing. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Excited to go back.Sometimes they run out of food because they're so popular, better get there early or you'll be let down.

There are several BBQ places in the mountain home area. We prefer Holy Smokes because the food really tastes great. It's also not overly fatty or greasy. And the restaurant is clean, which is a must for us. The only downside is that they don't serve fried okra or green beans (come on, it's BBQ!). But, the potato salad and smoked mac'n'cheese are really good!
