0 STARS!!!! Never, I repeat NEVER will I go to this establishment again.

My family and I went to eat at Hotpot Story and my broth was too salty. I asked if she could change it out for health reasons, The server said no and it would cost money so I told her take it back and they said no you still have to pay for it even though I didn’t eat any of it. When we asked to speak to the manager, the manager said no he couldn’t because he was too busy helping customers (like we weren’t customers). When he finally came over to help us he decided to downplay our concerns and was very rude. He then brought over the waitress to tell her what she was doing wrong in front of the whole dining room. The waitress ended up apologizing, but the manager was beyond rude and did nothing.
The manager then told us that this is America and nothing is free if he has to pay, we have to pay!!!

The food wasn’t fresh at all. The customer service was awful and the waiters was so rude because they ignored me when I was asking for help because the food I got was unsafe. I would not recommend anyone to come to this place and it’s also very expensive for just a small amount of food you get. We didn’t get any drinks as well and I got ignored about half an hour.

I was excited to go here for the first time, but the customer service ruined it, so I left early. I saw a review that said food was 4/5 and customer service was 2/5. I fully agree. I spent $98 here and was treated like they couldn’t wait for me to leave. I was made to pay for my food before I was finished, which was rude, and I had to pay twice. Then I had to ask for more broth because I was worried my food was burning, and it was. It sucks because I’m new to Colorado Springs, and there are not many great places to eat. I planned on coming here every week, but I’ll probably never return.
I really wanted dessert but didn’t get it because that’s how I was treated after enjoying myself and spending $98. They ruined it for me by being rude.

I think the food is way overpriced, the chicken was stale, and I found a rock in my food likely due to the vegetables not being cleaned properly. Nearly 90 dollars for three of us before the tip and we did not get drinks. That's a lot of money to pay for ramen. Sadly, I will not go back nor will I recommend Hot Pot Story.

Our first experience here was amazing, we thought we found our new favorite hotpot restaurant. The options were incredible. The broths were so thick and hearty made with really great ingredients and masterfully crafted. The first server we had was so passionate and attentive. It was all around an incredible experience.
The next time we came, we found out the server we really liked was no longer there. That was kind of a bummer but the rest of the front staff were incredible so we weren’t too worried about it, it just threw us off because Hot pot story had not been open very long. Unfortunately, though, it did signal some pretty terrible changes. They watered down the broth quite a bit. It still tasted OK, but it was thin and the flavors were pretty mild, they don’t allow you to taste the broth before they come out, which is a pretty obvious tactic. One of the owners was standing there guarding all the plates, and even though we tried to engage with him and be friendly, he had decided we were not his cup of tea, we know this because he had no problem, kindly engaging with others. Though it wasn’t just us, there were other people he was also going out of his way to show distaste for. We were still pulling plates off and buying more food, but he started to try and push us out of the restaurant, he had only been there just under an hour and there was plenty of seating for new guests. I would totally understand trying to push someone out that was just sitting there refilling their broth and not buying more plates But we were still buying food and he still wanted us out. I gave a lower rating to the food because they watered down the broth, I didn’t wanna give service a one because the staff are generally really good, and the atmosphere is pretty awesome if it weren’t for the owner being a weirdo.

Excellent food. I have collagen broth and it really good. Tom yum is as good as normal broth as everyone get. Collagen broth is nicer for who cant eat spicy. Really good so far

Oh my goodness I can't even type out how much I actually loved this place! The staff is SUPER nice and the food is delicious! The broths are superb and the food is very filling! Highly recommend checking it out and eating here! Even for the price it was well worth it!

This place is a must go. Delivering a great concept for enjoying hotpot. The conveyor belt style makes it fun and exciting, something always arrives for you to place in your hotpot. Come early or make a reservation it gets busy. We are here on a Wednesday and it’s packed. Enjoy!
