I love this place. Its so much better than Chipotle & Moe’s. The food tastes authentic/real. Its very reasonable prices. The guacamole is great. They have red & green jalapeño sauce. You can get red peppers & onions, green peppers & onions or both. The bar is very laid back. You can usually catch young people shooting the breeze or watching sports. The place is never packed but never empty. The staff is super friendly humble kind. They have an outdoor seating area at the one that I went to. Plenty of parking. I’m not so hot on trivia or drag queens. But its a very comfortable laid back environment. Safe for people of all ages. I usually get the quesadilla and I’m coming here from now on instead of Chipotle.

Eating a burrito from Illegal Pete's was an experience I will never forget. I chose the chicken for my protein, loaded it with rice, beans and all the fixings, took two bites and was done with it. It was bland, flavorless and although I watched the young lady make it fresh, it still was somehow cold inside. I tested no citrus from the guacamole, no char taste from the chicken and everything inside had almost the same texture: mushy.

The service was good, not great. The interior of the restaurant has a rustic feel and it was clean from what I could tell. Needless to say, I was not delighted to have to toss a nearly $20 meal in the trash but there was no way I would eat another bite of my horrid creation. I will not be back again. 2 stars.

Vegetarian options: You're free to order without protein but I'm unsure why you'd choose this restaurant if you're vegetarian or vegan. Meat is the name of their game.

Dietary restrictions: They will retain any lactose products from touching your meal, if you're intolerant to dairy.

Parking: There are not many spots to park outside of the restaurant on the street but there is a paid parking lot across from their location, about a block away ($1/hr per vehicle).

Kid-friendliness: You can take your kids here safely but, then again, why would you want to?

Wheelchair accessibility: W5heelchair can comfortably fit through their doors.

Fresh food, real ingredients. Flavorful. Consistent. Bans fish burrito is my fave but I rotate what I get cuz everything is delicious. Queso is to die for. Salads are delicious and healthy. Quesadillas for the kids. Green chili for the cold days. I just love it and do recommend. Oh! and they have the BEST chocolate chip cookies.

When I order delivery food and I specifically request to include napkins and forks and utensils because I’m in a hotel, it’s incredibly frustrating when they are not included. There is a specific check box that asks to include them

I don't get the hype....at all. I got my food to go so I can't really speak to the service or atmosphere. The queso was like nacho cheese. At best, it was poured from a Tostitos jar. What was inside my burrito was underwhelming as well. Unfortunately I had it smothered in the nacho queso and threw most of my food away.

I ordered a burrito for my wife online--takeout-- it was late, they were 30 minutes to close and when I came in they had held off Making the burrito because I had made the mistake of ordering just fish and a tortilla on my build your own burrito. My point is that they could have just made it as ordered and thrown it in a bag but they knew I messed up and held off finishing it and therfore cleaning for close for me. Phenomenal. This was my first time in, it will not be my last.

I mean it's like...Chipotle's cousin. They grew up together, but each think they do mama's recipe better than the another. One expanded their selection more, but still it's nothing to write home about.

It's alright though. Not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.

I have been to illegal Pete throughout the Denver area a few different times and I would say I was never thoroughly impressed.

I did think I’d give this company a second chance when they migrated to Colorado Springs for their grand opening. I can tell you upon my first entrance I was amazed with the ambiance and was taken back by how much food I got for the price. Every time that I seem to go there, it seems that I get so much bang for my buck. My wife is in healthcare and every time we go on Tuesdays, they give us a buy one get one free meal. That shows that they have respect for the people that are in the front lines in our community.

The atmosphere of the bar is Top tier. They always seem to have a solid pours and the Margs taste amazing!

I know this seems like I am Rambling, but the last thing I want to touch on is the service. Everyone is so kind and polite - I forgot my wallet and they actually gave me my food for free and said nobody should go hungry! The manager Sami is legit and you can tell the culture amongst their team is high. Seems like everyone enjoys working there and it’s probably because of her!

Every Tuesday, if you show your health care employee ID, you get a bogo entree. It’s such an awesome deal, and makes me feel valued as a healthcare provider!
Also the atomosphere is so lit! The bar so so fun!! Literally have gone there as a night out with friends and it’s amazing! Not to mention those yummy drinks!!
I have never encountered a rude worker, they are always so welcoming and kind!!

Great service when we arrived however my husband and I both got terrible food poisoning from this place Sunday night 09/08/2024 we recommend neverrrrrr going there. We're on day 3 of feeling like pure death ?

I’m not entirely sure why this place was so incredibly packed. I placed my online order at approximately 6:08 pm. I arrived at the location ten minutes later within the time, my order would be ready. I requested to pick up my order and was told it was being worked on.

So, I waited and waited while other guests walked into order. I waited for another twenty or so minutes and by that time those who walked in had their food and sitting down to eat.

I wait for a break in the guest checking out to try and pick my order up again. My order was sitting there enough though I was within three feet of the register and never left the immediate area.

Now, let's fast forward to when I get home to eat. I reluctantly bring myself to eat a cold and I mean cold burrito. I also figured out that my burrito has only crunchy rice (undercooked) and microwaved steak…
