I was So Excited to Find a Jamaican Food Restaurant in Colorado Springs & Not Too Far from home!
The Food was Great the "Very First Time" I went there to Order Food "To Go" for 2 People & The Food "Seemed Fresh" and was served Steaming Hotš„
But the 2ND Time I went there to Order Food, He Gave Me "ICE COLD FOOD!" --Soooooo I'M NOT SURE "HOW LONG" the FOOD he put in our "To Go" Styrofoam Containers had been sitting around??
I Read Other Reviews about "J's Jamaican Flava" afterwards & a Few Other Reviews said His Food was Good BUT said they Saw him "Microwave" the Food, so that gave them the impression his Food isn't Freshly Cooked to Orderš
The Food I Ordered for 2 People the 2nd Time I went back there Wasn't AS GOOD AS THE 1ST TIME! A Matter of Fact, The Owner Gave Us Food to Go THAT WASN'T Even Hot! I Watched š him take Food out of a Pot & put our Food in the "To Go" Styrofoam Containers and "Both" of Our Food was ICE COLD!
I mean...I Live mins from his Restaurant But the Food We Ordered was So COLD! We were Highly Disappointed because the Very First Time I Ordered Food for US...It was On Point! Smh!

This place is great! If you ate looking for some great Jamacian food look no further. I had the ox tail lunch special and it was perfect. Great flavor, tender meat.

Ordered the steamed fish (spicy) ??. I canāt even imagine it without the spice because it was perfect, top tier. I order more things but the man hand must of soak in holy water before he do that one. Itās a wait if you place the order at the counter but trust me you wonāt be disappointed.

I ordered some jerk chicken, the flavors were great and I was enjoying the rice a lot, but the chicken itself was pretty dry which made sense considering the fact that I could hear the man heating it up in a microwave. It would have been an easy 5 or at least 4 stars if the chicken was fresh.

By far the best in Colorado Springs, I'm originally from Miami and I will say this place reminds me of home. Proper authentic flavors brown stew chicken was savory with every bite the rice and peas were perfect and the plantains were also on point. I want thank the gentlemen who served me he was polite and attentive asked how everything was and gave positive vibes . Bless

First time going to j's. I had the oxtail and Jamaican rice. It was amazing. So tender so good. And I even made 2 meals out of one.

Fantastic!!! Iāve been here once before and it was ? but havenāt been back in a while because itās far from where I live at.
I was in the area for lunch and I ā„ļøā„ļøā„ļøā„ļø how they have lunch specials!!!!! I usually go to High Grade Jamaican restaurant because itās closer but if this place was closer, I would come here instead because their curry chicken has bone in it and the other place I go to donāt have bone in the curry chicken. Plus they have affordable lunch specials and the other place do not.
The first time I came here I had a great experience too but the only thing I didnāt care for the first time was the coco bread wasnāt homemade (store bought). They probably changed it and I didnāt get it this time as you see from the picture but that was the only issue from the first time. Other than that, they are nice, you get a good serving size, taste great, and itās affordable! ?? 10/10
