Fantastic atmosphere with delicious food and drinks—all at a great value! They also have a seasonal drink menu, including a must-try pumpkin spiced coffee. The owners are amazing and incredibly hospitable, which makes the experience even better. We will definitely be back!

After stopping into the Carnegie Library to pick up the books I’d reserved, having a coffee at Jives suddenly appealed to me. There were only a few people there at the 4:00 PM hour. While standing at the counter, the smells coming from the kitchen became more than I could resist. Looking at the menu, I chose the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and a latte.
Seated outside on the sidewalk, my sandwich and latte were served. The croissant had seen better days. It was over the hill. The bacon was of the pre-cooked kind but acceptable. Ham and eggs and lovely greens were also on the sandwich. It was a hearty and satisfying mid day meal.
My enjoyment was marred by the people smoking cigarette after cigarette, who were also seated on the sidewalk.
This was the third time I’ve been to Jives and I will return. My only wish is that cigarette smoking be relegated to the park across the street.

Great place with super friendly staff, and wonderful place to visit after checking out the farmers market across the street. Will have to come back to check out the live music!!!

While my son was visiting from Texas, we decided to go to jives and had the best time! We went on a Thursday late morning, so the line was minimal. The owner was so hospitable, sweet, engaging and funny! The coffee is amazing and the food is even better! Well worth the wait. This is definitely a no rush kind of place, so be prepared to wait a bit in line and for the food.
Generous portions and great quality.
The champagne presentation in the ice bucket was lovely! Definitely one of my new favorite spots in OCC.
I would love to return in the evening for wine and live music.

Good food, good coffee, plenty of seating, friendly staff, and a good amount of space to study or read. They do live music too if you're in the mood for that. Also plenty of nice seating outside with a good atmosphere.

In Colorado for our 30 year anniversary from Virginia. We just stumbled in this week and so glad we did because Jives quickly became our favorite! Staff were so friendly, coffee and food were great! Loved the Red Moon coffee! You have to check this place out!
