I jumped on the freeway bucket of fried chicken when I saw the add, but I still have to buy something for 15 dollars?

The chicken they gave me was inedible, it seemed like it had been cooked the day before and refried, parts were hard and it was all extremely greasy and inedible. The store never answered the phone when I called, I finally found a number online, they gave me a small refund that didn’t even cover the cost of the chicken. Do not go here, this restaurant is dirty and the food is disgusting

This was by far the worst fast food experience I've ever had.

I pulled into the drive-thru at around 5:10 PM on Monday, 7/14/25 and placed a simple order — 6-piece tender with coleslaw. There was only one car ahead of me, yet I waited nearly 20 minutes just to pull up to the window. When I got there, the cashier (receipt said RAELYNNNS) asked me again what I ordered. I told her. She closed the window, walked away, came back, asked again. I told her again. Then she told me the total was $20.54, and I paid her with a $20 and a $5.

She gave me a water… but no change. I had to ask. She said they were out of $1s and to pull around while she got the manager. I waited 15 more minutes, she finally brought the food, apologized, and still didn’t have my change. I asked again — she went inside.

10 minutes later she comes back and asks — I kid you not — “What did you order again?” I was literally eating in my car outside the front door at this point.

I told her for the fifth time: 6-piece tender, coleslaw, $20.54 total, paid $25.

After waiting even longer, I had to go inside myself to get my change. She was nowhere to be found, and another employee had to help me.

The whole process took nearly an hour just to place a basic order and get my change — and I had to ask for it multiple times.

I get that people have off days, but this level of disorganization and poor service is unacceptable. If management sees this — feel free to make it right. Otherwise, I’ll make sure everyone knows what kind of experience to expect here.

Came in here to pick up a uber order and the manager looked at me with a lazy look and told me it was going to be 25 minutes before the chicken for my order was ready. Totally unacceptable it made me have to cancel the order I will never come back to this KFC to pick up a delivery again and I highly suggest any other doordash or Uber Eats drivers avoid this place at all cost.

I would give it zero stars if I could. It was the driest toughest chicken sandwich I've ever had. I couldn't eat even half of it. Glad I don't have dentures. Biting into it would've pulled them right out.

Usually, my posts start with something good about a location, followed by what can be improved, then complimenting (or criticizing, again) the location on one aspect or another. Today, this is not happening. This location, staffed by mostly teenagers (which can be a good thing!), has a lot to work on to become what should be standard at all KFC stores: quality food and great customer service, done quickly and correctly. Today was a total miss by the staff, by a wide margin.

First, the crew was lackadaisical, not attentive and would not follow the simple request to cook my food fresh, as it should be. When I requested a fresh drop, the answer I received was that all the food was cooked fresh... 15 minutes prior to my arriving. Mind you, this is the exact answer every fast food restaurant provides when they want their customers to go away. They don't cook fresh food, they just give you what's under the heater. This was strike one.

Not to be nagging but this person could truly care less about having their job. They're young so this is not a career for them; it's a stopping point along the way to many, name jobs that they will get hired for and fired from very quickly. Attitude = atrocious.

Second, let's talk about this "fresh food". It was old. It was not warm. It tasted underdone and was definitely not delicious. The next time I ask for fresh food and I'm denied, I will not only leave the location but I will write another scathing review to add to the list of "DO NOT EAT HERE" restaurants that I've accumulated from across the country.

Lastly, let's talk about cleanliness. Remember, this is a crew of teenagers and adults that are accustomed to having multitudes of displaced (homeless) citizens coming in and out of their doors during business hours. The location was much less than spotless; it was in terrible condition. The tables and floor were dirty, condiments were not stocked properly and there is a smell coming from the rear of the restaurant that no customer ever wants to experience. This was a hard fail and I'm sure they would not pass a safety inspection.

To make sure this sticks into the reader of this post's minds I will say once again: DO NOT EAT HERE. There will need to be a complete overhaul, from management to the cashiers and especially in the kitchen, before I will attempt to review this restaurant again. This experience is one I will never forget. I'm a long time KFC fan, from way back in the 1980's when I learned how to chew properly, so this was a complete tragedy.

They have a sister A&W/KFC location down the road, near SR115 and Fountain, that is far better at customer service, cleanliness and providing fresh food, than this location. Although I'm sure both stores are owned by different organizations, the staff at the location of Nevada and I-25 needs to be either fired and replaced or retrained completely. If the owners of this location care about their profits, they should investigate what's really happening here. They will not be pleased. Neither was I. 1 Star, bordering on 0 stars, was highly generous.

Vegetarian options: This is a chicken restaurant. If you're vegan, you're out of luck. Vegetarians would also not be comfortable here.

Dietary restrictions: They have lactose-free options; celiacs beware. Then again, NO ONE SHOULD EAT HERE.

Parking: There is not much in the way of parking but the restaurant was mostly empty. There's no lunch or dinner rush here. The locals, except for displaced people, tend to visit other locations.

Kid-friendliness: I would keep the kids at home if you decide to eat here. Then again, NO ONE SHOULD EAT HERE.

Wheelchair accessibility: Supposedly, a wheelchair can fit into one of the doors at the entryway but, in my opinion, it's not wheelchair friendly.

By far the longest wait I've ever experienced everyone working was on their phones and vaping. 40 minutes wait and it was dead.

I've been here 4 or 5 times and regardless of the questionable neighborhood, the service and food is always on point. They never tell me they're out of this or that and they always have the food quick and fresh with the longest I've waited being around 5 minutes, so super fast. There are some homeless people hanging around but not bothersome or anything. I give this KFC 5 stars because of the speed, quality of the food, and the people working there are just amazing and very friendly.

Ordered through the KFC website, and they assigned me a Door Dasher for delivery. The plastic bag that the order came in was sealed to prevent theft, but this resulted in the contents of the bag being soaked in condensation. There were no straws for the drinks, and I was missing nuggets from my order. Between the drinks, the Coke had no ice, and the "cranberry" Starry had no cranberry flavoring. In all, I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. The order took 35 minutes to arrive, including door dash time.

Ive been to this kfc a few times and the food is good (although our dogs dont seem to agree) but tonight when i arrived at about 8:55 pm at the drive through i didnt get a response even after about 10 minutes of waiting. So i drove around and parked to check the lobby since i saw a sign in the drive through saying their lobby closed at 10 pm and the drive thru 11 pm, but the doors were locked, there werent any vehicles around the building other than me and i didnt see anyone inside the building either. I dont understand why they were effectivly closed 2 hours early according to their store hours. I had to go another 15-20 minutes away to another one where i overpaid for too little. The highlight of the trip was getting dutch bros on the way over.
