Food portions are large with wonderful traditional Mexican flavors and the service is great. Leo is so friendly & treats us like family, we always enjoy sitting in his section. All the staff are top notch.
The food prices are budget friendly for an individual, family or a group.
Try it out, you would regret it.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs. Budget friendly, family friendly and wonderful traditional Mexican flavors. We really like all the servers but enjoy sitting in Leo's section, he treats us like family. Well worth the drive for us.

Molcajete Mar y Tierra never disappoints and they have homemade corn tortillas.Our server, Leo, was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.He went above and beyond to ensure that our dinner experience was exceptional.I highly recommend it.

Called and made a to-go order tonight (6/22/2025) based off their private website with their menu and prices listed. My mother went and picked it up and paid when she got there. We ordered a two item combo and traditional fajitas for two. Their menu listed the prices as $11.95 and $26.95 respectively. When my mother got home with the food we realized they had not put the lid on one of the beans correctly and it had spilled out into the bag with the tortillas. They also did not include any of the toppings for the fajitas (lettuce, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, etc). So my mother called back and asked for a partial refund. They refused and asked that she bring all the food back. We ordered to-go because we didn’t want to cook or go out except to pick it up once. She told him that she wasn’t going to bring the food back that she didn’t want to drive back there. He told her there was nothing he could do then hung up on her. About 30 minutes later my mom was complaining that she spent too much on the food for what we got. I asked her what the total was and knew something was wrong. She never saw the menu, I did. That’s when I realized they overcharged us by a lot. They charged us $14.95 and $41.95. That’s an $18 difference. That may not be much to some but that’s another meal to us. My mom called the manager back and as soon as he recognized her name he began telling her how rude she was hanging up on him and kept saying he wasn’t going to do anything for her now since she was so rude to hang up on him. She had it on speakerphone so I took the phone and told him who I was and that I needed him to stop speaking so he could listen to me. I told him about the price difference and he said that they can’t change the menu every time process go up, that it is the customers responsibility to ask what the prices are. I told him that they maintain their own website and add a customer I have the right to rely on the prices they list. If the prices go up then they need to put a disclaimer out change the prices. He said he wouldn’t do anything for me.

My family has eaten here for years but they have now lost a good customer on my first and last to-go order with them. We were in this establishment 2 weeks ago and ordered the fajitas and amazingly they were the price listed on the menu. Horrible customer service

We had a fantastic experience at Las Palmitas 2! My husband ordered the Molcajete, and it was absolutely loaded with flavor—smoky, savory, and perfectly spiced. I had the Hawaiian Fajitas, which came sizzling hot with sweet pineapple, crispy bacon, and tender chicken. The sweet and savory combo was spot-on.

One of the highlights of our meal was the green avocado and jalapeño salsa—it was creamy, fresh, and had just the right amount of kick. We couldn’t stop dipping everything in it!

The service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and fast without being rushed. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving bold, authentic Mexican flavors! 🌮🌶️🍍

Actual prices are way higher than what the website says. Ordered a pickup order that should have been $30 based on website prices and showed up and total was $52. They just told me sorry the website hasn’t been updated. Only time here, food was average at best, prices were very high, integrity very low.

Good flavor to the food!

From service, to food to the beautiful restaurant I highly recommend came into town not knowing what to eat a family member recommended and we were not disappointed we will be back again. Food was delicious

I think they have the best Mexican food. Generally I’m not impressed with Mexican food, but Las Palmitas makes it tasty and special. I also LOVE the large draft beers in a icy glass mug. That’s special!

The food was great. It was definitely slightly different than other Mexican restaurants we have been to, but that is a good thing!
Salsa and chips were fresh and tasty. There was a green jalepeno salsa that was sooo tasty. We really enjoyed it for our first time there.
The service was great, too. The woman who took care of us was really nice and did a great job. We will be back.

1,000% my new favorite Mexican food restaurant. The food is so flavorful. The chips are served warm and are not greasy. The salsas that are served with them are delicious. Everything I've tried is full of flavor, beans and rice included. Just so good!! No pics attached because I was enjoying my food too much to take any lol
