Las Palmitas Mexican restaurant #2

I think they have the best Mexican food. Generally I’m not impressed with Mexican food, but Las Palmitas makes it tasty and special. I also LOVE the large draft beers in a icy glass mug. That’s special!

The food was great. It was definitely slightly different than other Mexican restaurants we have been to, but that is a good thing!
Salsa and chips were fresh and tasty. There was a green jalepeno salsa that was sooo tasty. We really enjoyed it for our first time there.
The service was great, too. The woman who took care of us was really nice and did a great job. We will be back.

1,000% my new favorite Mexican food restaurant. The food is so flavorful. The chips are served warm and are not greasy. The salsas that are served with them are delicious. Everything I've tried is full of flavor, beans and rice included. Just so good!! No pics attached because I was enjoying my food too much to take any lol

The food was terrific, as was the service, and with hungry children, I was glad I was not charged extra for chips & salsa (even with a few rounds). We were a little disappointed when my daughter said “Each of us (pausing to dual-point at herself & friend); we are both having the chicken quesadillas,” and only one order came out, so they shared until 10 min later when the other came out. (It’s ok everyone makes mistakes, but it’s why I normally ask a server to go over our order before entering it, if they don’t voluntarily do so.) The food was delicious and the seasonings were spot on. The Dos Equis draft was better priced than most restaurants - thanks! A coupon that brought us in was accepted without issue, and overall it was a good experience. Thanks.

p.s. Menu pics & Google Menu are both wrong. Burrito "Las Palmitas" was meaty (great!), but is now $17.95, not $12.95 … Biden/Harris Inflation (not restaurant’s fault).

Last week my husband and I went and a Colombian boy took care of us... super friendly and helpful... well we decided to return today with my son and family and we were taken care of by a girl who was in a very bad mood... I asked her yes, please. I could ask the Colombian boy if he could make me the mango margarita and he replied that she knew how to make it because she brought it very badly. I got up and personally asked the Colombian boy if he could make me two and he, very kind and courteous, made them for us despite I had already left...when it came time to pay, that girl gave us an 18 percent mandatory tip when last week the guy didn't give us a mandatory tip...it's not because we didn't pay but I think it's unfair that they impose the tip on you when the deal wasn't the best...for that reason we will not return.

Food is overpriced and lately always overcooked. Used to be our goto for Mexican but after this experience it'll be our last time here, unfortunately.

On recommendation, lunch was here. We both ordered enchiladas, hubby with white queso. The food was well sequest. And a lot. Altho we tried, we couldn't finish, lol! Made for a great leftovers lunch the next day
