Have been eating here for 43 years. The only place in town we could afford when we're first married besides the hamburger stand. Still a great value today and the food is still excellent.

Decent but not NY

My family is here on vacation, decided we wanted pizza for dinner. Looked up pizza places near by, and Leon Gessi had great reviews. We ordered sausage and the kitchen sink pizza. BEST pizza we've had in a long time!! 😋

Leon Gessi had a great atmosphere and the pizza was good. The crust on their thincrust pizza was a little soft/floppy otherwise food would be 5 stars. Their online pickup experience is a little stilted but otherwise service would have been 5 stars as well.

We went yesterday to use the coupon we got from Tmobile before it expired and really enjoyed it. We got the Butcher's Shop Pizza 16" and it was delicious. We loved the maps on the table showing the sibways in New York and that they offer dine in seating. We also liked the drinks being self service unlike some other similar sized places. We very much look forward to returning soon.

Still love this place, but hoping if they get some honest reviews they might look into things. I still think this place deserves amazing reviews, because I know what they are capable of. But it just feels like they changed the recipe, or something. The last few times I have come here, the sauce has no flavor any more, the crust doesn't have a taste any more. It all kind of just taste bland, definitely better than some places, but for the price of a pizza to get mid pizza is disappointed. Like you're my local joint I want to support them more, but not 20 dollars for midish pizza. Where is the seasoning the flavor? Why is the marinara watery and lacking flavor?

Best damn pizza in Colorado! Whoever rated this place less than 5 stars must be smokin’ dope. Leon Gessi’s consistently delivers pizza perfection—crispy crust, generous toppings, and just the right amount of cheese every single time. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home, and the prices are absolutely spot-on for the quality you’re getting. If you’re a true pizza lover, this spot is a must-visit. Hands down, it doesn’t get better than this!

Best pizza in Colorado springs! Amazing, old school pizzaria vibe with amazing THIN New York style pies. Only thing they're missing from the actual NYC experience is dollar slices, but I'm the springs, that's just not economically feasible.
