Los Volcanes Mexican restaurant was a new find for us tonight! The queso du dito was fabulous. The dishes were inexpensive and authentic. The service was exceptional, three thumbs up! They’ve been in business, the owner said, a year in five months and I have to say they are getting it right. Spices were perfect, everything was really really good and they have a great lunch menu. Definitely will be back.

A large group of us visited Los Volcanes Saturday, November 9TH and had the best time ever! The food was fantastic and came out on time even with such a large group being served! I highly recommend visiting this wonderful, authentic restaurant to experience for yourself the same dining wonder!

After seeing reviews on some local Facebook food groups we decided to give Los Volcanoes a try.
First off the prices on the online menu are inaccurate and lower than what they are in the restaurant. (Ex combo # 5 online $10, ordering online or in restaurant $$13, tacos online $5, in restaurant $5.50)
The restaurant is spacious, open and clean. A few small TV's hang on the walls with various sports on throughout.
Chips and salsa were average. Salsa was a bit watery, and the cabbage salsa was bland and tasteless. Chips were served warm and were good though.
Food arrive fast after ordering. Service was friendly and attentive.
Portions were generous. I had the enchilada combination plate. It was good. Not great but overall ok. Beans and rice were pretty much average I'd say. Beans a little runny and rice was lacking any real flavor but they both paired well with the enchilada sauce.
We also ordered 3 different tacos. The birria was probably the favorite, followed by the carbon pollo. The fried fish taco missed the mark completely though. The fish very much resembled boxed fish sticks and overall was not good.
Overall, it was good to finally try Los Volcanoes. Prices are good on some things (combination plates) and a little overpriced on others (like the Classico menu items)

We visited Los Volcanes as a large party of 13 with a reservation, and while the experience had a few bumps, overall it was a memorable visit that I would recommend.

The main drawback of our visit was the wait. It took about 10 minutes before we were able to place drink orders, nearly 30 minutes before we could order appetizers, and over an hour before we finally placed our entrées. Drinks and appetizers also arrived much later than expected, which made us feel overlooked at times. It seemed the restaurant may have been short-staffed, though there weren’t other large parties present at the time.

That said, the staff’s attitude made a huge difference. When I raised concerns about the delays, the servers were understanding, professional, and genuinely friendly. Their demeanor helped ease the frustration, and I appreciated that the staff went out of their way at the end to make things right without me even asking. The atmosphere itself was casual and welcoming, though not particularly standout—good for groups, families, or anyone looking for hearty Mexican food.

The food is where Los Volcanes shines. The portions were absolutely epic, and every plate that came out looked incredible. The flavors lived up to the presentation—authentic, hearty, and delicious. It’s the kind of food where, every time a dish passed by the table, we all found ourselves asking, “What is that?!” Whether you stick to classics you’d expect at a Mexican restaurant or try something new, you’re in for a treat.

While the pacing of service left something to be desired, the combination of generous portions, flavorful food, and friendly staff more than made up for it. We left full, satisfied, and with the impression that this is a place worth coming back to.

Don’t let the mention of long wait times dissuade you—Los Volcanes is a great spot with excellent food, and when the service is in stride, it’s easily a five-star experience.
