My sister and I treated ourselves to a wonderful dinner night out on the town. We had such a unique and exquisite experience at MacKenzie's Chop House! We both ended up getting Land and Sea, the steak, and Alaskan King Crab with steamed broccoli!
My ONLY 'feedback' on the food would be to steam the broccoli just a little while longer so that it isn't still raw.
OTHERWISE?! BABYYY!!!!!
The butter had its own candle warmer. The Crab was bigger than my head, juicy as hell and flavorful like nobody's business. The STEAK?! Medium rare- absolute chef's kiss. I didn't care much for the sauce, but other than that, holy cow (pun intended), I dont think I've ever tasted a steak so perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The bread basket was so fresh and warm, the butter easily spreadable, and tastes good!
Truly a treat for us- well deserved and well enjoyed.
Had been there in the world since I've been retired. What went there for lunch to celebrate? Purchasing a new home with my real estate agent had a good time a place as in changed launch good. I recommend it for business. Or do you have a scene somebody in a while or special occasion? Give it a shot it believes in old value to food good service
This as our first time here. My husband ordered the surf and turf. The lobster tail was his favorite. I tried his mashed potatoes and I’d say they were the best I’ve had at a restaurant. I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked to perfection. The truffle spinach was very tasty. At first I thought it was too savory but by the end it was my favorite part of the dish. We ordered the beef and Brie. This is also a very savory dish. The rind on the Brie made it a little less appealing but we still ate the whole thing. We enjoyed our time and our waiter did an excellent job.
Always a great experience. Everything is always fantastic from the hostess to the servers & quality for price. Excellent
Overall nice restaurant but for the price one would think you could get a steak cooked properly! I ordered my ribeye medium and received medium well to well done!
Unfortunately, our lunch today included a 6 oz filet covered in about half fat and flavorless. The gravy was the flavor. Environment and staff are nice, but we will not be returning.
We have ate here many times for good reason. You can't get a bad plate. It's always exceptional and the service exquisite! Thank you.
The best server we have ever had. Brando was amazing, attentive, and cared for every little detail, even the ones you don’t want to mention. When we visit Colorado again we will be requesting him. Food was amazing and again, the service was top notch. I can’t wait to come back
This was hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had perfectly cooked, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Honestly, every single thing we ordered was amazing. From the appetizers to the sides and dessert, not one bite disappointed.
The service was just as exceptional. Our server, Stefan, went above and beyond to make our evening special. He was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. You could tell he genuinely cared about the experience we were having.
Highly recommend this place, we’ll definitely be back!
From the moment one crosses the threshold, the aroma of seared perfection and ocean-fresh delight greets you like an old friend. The oysters, chilled and briny as Neptune's own offering, are a revelation. The scallops, kissed by flame and butter, melt upon the tongue with such tenderness, one might believe the sea itself had sent them as tribute. And lo, the steaks — oh, the steaks! Each cut a hymn to craftsmanship, cooked with reverence to the beast and served with honor. Juicy, tender, perfectly charred, they are less a meal and more a benediction. Pair thy feast with a wine list worthy of Bacchus himself, or indulge in a cocktail whose elegance rivals the setting sun. But it is not just fare that elevates McKenzie's to legend — it is the service, embodied most excellently by Dylan King, a steward of hospitality. With grace, humor, and an eye for detail, Dylan transforms a dinner into a memory, and a night out into a tale to be told. In sooth, McKenzie's Chop House is not merely a restaurant — it is a rite of passage for the palate. Five stars are but too few.

Fantastic service and food! Recommended by someone at a nearby bar and it exceeded my expectations! The bison steak was perfectly tender! The bartender was friendly and attentive as well as had a spot on menu recommendation!
Great place for lunch!
Service was great. Food was average and very over priced. Everything was cold, the butter wouldn't melt on the baked potatoes
Great food, wonderful service, and attention to detail! thank you for making my dinner a wonderful experience!
Mollie and Paul are the best! Attentive to their customer's needs and just downright friendly and professional. I have been to numerous steak house here in Colorado Springs. None of the come close to Mackenzie's filet mignon. And the bar is the coolest.
