I didn’t realize it when I first traveled here on the basis of the glowing reviews, but this isn’t “Mexican food”, per se, but more of a “Native/Indigenous” twist on traditional Mexican food, and MY GOD, what a treat it was!
True to the “Native” part of the name, there’s great care and reverence for bringing the gifts of the earth to the food they serve as part of their family business’s gift to Colorado Springs.
Absolutely everything you order is made lovingly in-house from fresh, natural ingredients (that spoil quickly, hence their sometimes-not-available nature in their salsas, etc.).
And the result is a culinary delight that this family business graces us with in flavors, service and care.
I loved every bit of it, and WILL be back!

I came in from South Dakota to try this food truck, and let me tell you, I am not disappointed. The owner explained some of the dishes, and how they would be made outside of a food truck. The cheesy flatbread with the cactus chimichuri was amazing! The Fantastic Four was beyond delicious! The Chilaco with the shrimp and fry bread was absolutely outstanding! I’m not a huge shrimp fan, but I would love to have that again! The tortillas were made to order too! Just an outstanding meal that I look forward to having again and again when I come out to the Springs!

The food is EXCELLENT. And the owners/staff even more excellent!! We had their food truck visit for a private event of about 60 people. The planning process was easy, they arrived early, they set up and got working the people right away, they cooked fast, everything tasted awesome - and we tried every single dish, and they made sure we were happy when ordering, they found each individual once food was ready, and they continued to check on us. They did it all !!!

So delicious! The owner Ricky is really passionate about the food, you can tell in the flavor and how he talks about the food. This is the taco sampler minus a taco, it’s so good! Get the fideo its delicious!

My lips are tired you guys. Why, you ask? Because I have been smiling too much. I finished eating at Native Grill over an hour ago, but I still can’t stop thinking about that meal. It has captivated my mind in a way that I’m afraid I will never come back from.
I will dream of that Native Quesadilla tonight. I will dream of the Fantastic 4 taco plate. I will never forget how delicious that Fideo was. I will forever be chasing the high that came from that fry bread.
Did you think I was done singing praises about Native Grill? You were wrong. The sauces they have will make you wonder why other restaurants serve you bland trash water and call it salsa.

Native Grill is an amazing truck and I highly recommend! The food is fresh and delicious and made to order. The staff was so welcoming and took the time to customize our order and make sure we got exactly what we wanted. We had vegetarians it our group and they were able to easily accommodate and were also happy to do it. We will definitely eat here again! Thank you, Ricky!
