The crepes today were not good. The egg was overcooked and dry, the crepe too sweet, and the hollandaise had a strange flavor. Hash browns were overcooked and tasteless. In the past the crepes were wonderful. Although not very busy, the hostess was less than happy to seat us, and did not smile at all or make us feel welcome. We visit New Day atleast once per month and have noticed a steady decline in customer service and food quality.

Atmosphere, decor and wait staff are all great. Let’s talk about pancakes. Did you know that it’s actually faster and easier to make pancake batter correctly? It should be BARELY combined. Overmixing develops the gluten in the flour and results in the rubbery leather cakes served at this restaurant. I took a video of me failing to cut these with a fork, but it only allows me to upload photos. Unfortunately you’ll need a steak knife if you’re going to order these.

I was seat and asked if I wanted something to drink. After giving my drink order, I waited ten minutes and nothing. Sorry. Won't be going back no matter how desperate I am for a meal.

I have dined in twice and ordered take out a handful of times. My dine-in experiences were great, however my takeout experiences are always horrible. My food order has been incorrect several times and most recently, they didn't put condiments on the $16.99 burger I ordered. When I brought it up to the waitress, she said they didn't want it to get soggy. Do better. If we are paying a decent amount for food, that should be information they give you in advance. My advice is: don't get take out here, dine in.

As I sit here having just finished my Country Fried Chicken and Eggs, I have some critiques.

The Good:
- The location and the layout are nice.
- The wait time was low and the Hostess was friendly. My server was also very friendly and she checked in on me the perfect amount of times.
- The Country Fried Chicken had good seasoning, was crispy and juicy. The gravy was standard.
- The scrambled eggs are thankfully made from REAL eggs and not liquid. They were a little lacking on seasoning and I believe they were cooked in oil which is lame. Also, they were a little overcooked for me. If your eggs are brown, they're burned.
- The Green Chili was pretty standard. Almost no spice and kinda tasted like it came from a can or jar, not homemade.
- The coffee was good and I appreciate the milk being served in a fancy jug.

The Bad:
- The sourdough toast was very bland.
- The hashbrowns had no flavor. Literally not a dash of salt or pepper. They did have a slight buttery taste but that was not enough. I NEVER reach for the salt and pepper shakers when I sit to eat food and that's a standard I hold toward restaurants as well. Food should be seasoned when cooked, not after.
- My table was disgustingly dirty. In between the wood panels were old straws, crayons, someone's fish oil pill, old food, etc. It looks like its been a LONG time since anyone cleaned in there. If they forget your straw you could always grab a backup from the trash in the table.

Unfortunately, New Day Cafe suffers from a lot of the same issues I experience around this city. Average food that lacks seasoning. Would I come here again with my family? Maybe, but probably not. Kudos on the Military discount.

Really nice place not too crowded. Got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the california benedict with hashbrowns and the rancher omelette and they were both good. Our server Sophia was very sweet and attentive. I will definitely be back :)

Called & placed an order to pick up. Was told it would be 15-20 minutes. I arrived at 20 minutes and was greeted by 3 different female servers. They all said welcome in & they would be right with me BUT I still waited 10 minutes to even be cashed out. Then I had to wait another 5 for my kiddos drink. Once we got to the car the hamburger was warm & the fries were cold. Upsetting since I paid almost $10 for a kids meal.

Food was good. We sat at one of the outdoor tables with glass and the table glass was filthy. Ditch the glass this way you can properly clean the tables.

Expensive for no reason the feed was eh. The kids happy face pancakes has nasty dye filled cherries, oranges and hard pancakes wasn't good. Don't live down there so definitely won't be back. Party of 4 2 of them being under 6 and it was still $15 a person.

I really like going to New Day Cafe for breakfast foods and caffeine. I've gone with my friends and I've gone with my family multiple times. Their unsweetened iced tea here is wonderful, and their iced offee drinks are pretty good too! They offer almond milk with the coffee drinks, which I appreciate. Breakfast wise, I really enjoy their pancakes, good grits, good hash browns, and one of my favorites is the breakfast sandwich, on a bagel or croissant, with turkey sausage. I always enjoy my food here. The service is hit or miss with wait times and server attentiveness; some days we've had really good service, and some days, the server barely checks in. The atmosphere also depends: some days are really good, and some days are really noisy when it's busy. Really good food overall though, so we continue to come back😋

Definitely avoid when they are busy. We were seated on the patio on a nice day. But after that we certainly felt ignored. After a loooong wait, an order delivery person came out and slammed our order down on our table. We had no utensils I had to go inside, find someone and ask. Our food was luke warm at best — we should have left. Won’t be back.
