Porkbutt BBQ is a must-try! I’ve been here three times and the food tastes amazing every single time. Consistent flavor, great portions, and friendly service!

We’re from Kansas City so we take our bbq very serious and I must say, give this place a shot if you haven’t already. The quality speaks for itself here, excellent meal. Also, the owner is a very nice guy and was doing everything he could to make sure his customers were all taken care of during my visit today. THESE are the places to support! 10/10
This place has the BEST potatoes in Colorado Springs. Try the brisket grenade and thank me later. The crew is always super kind and helpful. I asked for a special loaded side of potatoes today because I was trying out a new sandwich but still wanted their cheese sauce on my potatoes —it’s liquid gold, for real— and they fixed me up! Porkbutt is easily tied with my other bbq go to joint, and for good reason. If you haven’t tried them yet, do it asap!! 🫶🏼
I tried going here early this year, I set up a dinner with a buddy on a Tuesday, but didn’t realize they were only open Wed-Sat. It frankly wasn’t a priority to come back sooner. What a mistake! Last night, my woman said she was in the mood for some chicken, I remembered this place, and when I mentioned it, she said she was in the mood for BBQ. She’s not gluten-free, but let’s just say her mind was blown that a dedicated GF place could be this good. I got the two meat plate (brisket & turkey) and she got ribs. For sides we got meaty beans, fried brussel sprouts, and fried smashed potato. The sides were mind blowing. The ribs were exquisite! The turkey was the best I’ve ever had! The brisket was really good. I’ve been to most of the best BBQ places in KC. I’ve been to a bunch of great rated BBQ places in Texas and the Carolinas … this place compares. You know how a lot of places you feel sluggish or weighed down aftera meal vs. other places when you eat you feel light and your body feels great? I felt amazing after! No sluggishness. I can tell they use quality meats and ingredients! The owner, Joshua, came to us a few times to talk to us … what a fantastic dude. He mentioned that they’re looking to expand with the space next door and he’s considering a GoFundMe to pay for it … I’m in! I’m now a raving fan and this will be a regular place that I’ll take family, friends, and guests. Easily one of my Top 3 eats in Colorado Springs. So many things on the menu that I’m looking forward to trying!
This place is awesome! The food is delicious, the portions are huge and the owner was very welcoming. I don’t live close, but definitely worth the drive and I’ll be back
Porkbutt BBQ serves up smoky, tender BBQ that’s packed with bold, mouthwatering flavors. Perfect spot for BBQ lovers craving authentic, finger-licking goodness!
We were well taken care of from beginning to end.
Update: Unfortunately, due to 5 negative experiences in a row at Porkbutt, I feel inclined to alter my review. Because of constantly being out of items / deciding to opt for Gold Peak tea instead of the delicious fresh brew they had been using, I don’t think I will be visiting again any time soon. I’ve tried once or twice per week for a month to visit, and each time had to go elsewhere. But the tea thing really was a big blow for me. I LOVED their fresh house made iced tea. 😞
My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try Porkbutt BBQ for a while and finally had the opportunity yesterday. We pulled up at 11:52 and waited in the car since they don’t open till noon. They opened early at 11:55. The staff was 10/10. Knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. The food was INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend is a Rudy’s fan, but I’m not since they don’t have good sides in my opinion. But Porkbutt has amazing meat and sides. We got chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, iced tea, lemonade, and he got the brisket grenade. The cheese sauce on the mac n cheese and grenade was so unique, I asked a staff member what that unique flavor was that gave it just the tiniest kick, and she said hatch green chiles. It was really good. The nuggets aren’t frozen bagged nuggets, they are fresh cut chicken thighs breaded and fried to order. And everything in the restaurant is gluten free. They also have all sauces made from scratch, including the ranch which I dipped my nuggets and sweet potato fries in. And I’m an iced tea snob, and the tea was SO GOOD. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the mac n cheese noodles were a little too soft for me, but still delicious. Even their business name and logo are adorable. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!
The service was amazing and the BBQ was some of the best BBQ in Colorado Springs. We had the brisket, ribs and sausage. The brisket was well seasoned, tender ans moist. The ribs literally fell off the bone and the sausage was some of the best I've had. They make their own sauces and we tried everyone and they were all amazing! We will definitely be back
Absolutely loved this place and will continue to stop here, the food was amazing and my wife was overjoyed with the fact that it is all gluten free as she is gluten intolerant. Joshua the owner came out to check on everyone's food and had a conversation with us. Super friendly staff and just overall a wonderful experience looking forward to seeing them again!

First visit yesterday and everything was phenomenal!!! Best BBQ in town good vibes and the owners and staff are very friendly! Our new go to spot!
Great food, great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Gluten-free food was very delicious tooI am delighted with their positive dining experiences overall. The place with a pleasant ambiance to enjoy your meals. The staff's friendliness surely enhances the enjoyment of the atmosphere as well. The availability of gluten-free options is a thoughtful consideration for many patrons. Ultimately, it's wonderful when all aspects combine to create a satisfying experience.
My son is a very picky eater, so before we tried this place we brought him Fries from another fast food place and had him start to eat while we waited on our food. As the chef who I assume is the owner served our food, he whipped around and asked us do you want to tell me about the food on the table? After explaining to him about our son being a picky eater (which we didn't have to) he launches into some bit about priding themselves in being a gluten free restaurant and people come there solely for that and if there were to see those fries they would leave blah blah, he then offers a plastic bag to put the fries in and then asked his staff to wipe the table where the fries were, all the while we are still sitting there with our food!! Let me just say this could have been handled entirely different by him and he honestly should be lucky we decided to be the bigger person!! Treat folks like you want to be treated!! Now the food was average at best, ribs dry, pulled pork odd taste!! The only thing I would recommend would be the brussel sprouts. Do yourself a favor and go to The Chuckwagon!! And the chef dude from Porkbutt, learn how to deal with folks because you are lucky I didn't react a different way!!... Here is the more common sense you asked for, you are correct we missed the sign and do apologize for that!! My understanding is you need to consume the gluten to get sick, doesn't just absorb into your skin!! How about you just admit your food sucks dude.... individuals who are gluten-free can touch gluten without experiencing a direct reaction, as gluten is not absorbed through the skin. However, it is crucial to avoid ingesting gluten, even in small amounts, as it can trigger a reaction in individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Cross-contact, where gluten-free food comes into contact with gluten-containing items, is a primary concern. My common sense is you are lucky I didn't punch you in the mouth!!
Amazing food, but overshadowed by a couple negatives.
Details:
My order- 2-meat plate (brisket and pulled pork) + 2 sides (mac & cheese and beans) plus an Arnold Palmer for a drink.
Total before tip- $31.38. To me that seemed really expensive, especially given the small portion sizes (see picture).
Time before I got my food: 15 minutes.
Time before the rest of my table got their food: 25 minutes.
Restaurant was at half capacity around the time we placed our order.
-Overall, the food was absolutely delicious but the price and long wait time kinda dampened the experience.
