Pueblo Viejo is hands-down one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food in town. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the kind of cozy, family-friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home.

It would get a better rating if they did not use Velveeta block cheese instead of real queso. By that standard they should not call it queso. The combination appetizer had the Velveeta block cheese as the dip and the nachos which are the base is from are made with a cheap fatty ground beef drenched in taco seasoning and was very off-putting. The only thing that actually tasted good was the fajitas which I've yet to find a Hispanic restaurant that could screw it up.

Well, here I am again, reviewing another of my favorites for Mexican food, but I wouldn't be happy if I neglected the opportunity to give my fellow foodies the heads up on one of the very best places in the Springs for enjoying truly wonderful Mexican food. There's not enough room here for all the praises and complimentary comments that come to mind, AND, which they so richly deserve, so I am going out on a limb here to recommend you get into this wonderful and delicious...
