We had reservations for 6 people at 6 pm. At 6 pm, the restaurant was out of pork chops and a couple of steaks. The server was annoyed that we didn’t already have a 2nd choice ready - atmosphere is like a sports bar, was expecting fine dining…it was difficult to find the front door, the waiting area is small, service was poor, our server’s attitude was just nasty. Being with friends made it fun, but I have zero desire to go back. On a positive note, the potato fries were good. Nicely salted.

⭐️ 1 Star Review for Red’s Sunset Grill

Weird vibe right from the moment we walked in. The hostess was sitting at a fold-up table, which already felt off. We were asked if we wanted to sit at a community table — we said no since we had our 2.5-year-old with us. The hostess responded with attitude and said, “Well, all we have is an 8-top then,” as if we’d be wasting space. We decided to leave.

On the way out, we noticed that more than half the restaurant was empty with plenty of smaller tables available. Very strange way to treat potential first-time guests who were genuinely looking for a nice local spot to become regulars. Definitely not the welcoming experience we hoped for.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, you can tell they care about quality. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere had that perfect local, relaxed Colorado vibe.

Tried this place for lunch on a Sunday. Food was amazing, the burger and shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly. We were hungry and started eating and forgot about taking a picture. The staff were amazing and the beers/wines/drinks menu was huge! Will go back!

Came for lunch with coworkers. The drinks took forever (if they even showed up), the food took forever (and came out wrong). Overall, it was nothing to write home about. You can get better service literally anywhere else.

Geeez. This place isn’t just bar food. It’s good and the service is super. April made sure we ordered right according to our tastes and she didn’t steer us wrong. She was really helpful and attentive without hovering. Lamburger was very good and bison burger even better. Get the spicy tater snackers. Diced fresh jalapeno with cheese and potato….fried and yummy.

I got the bison burger from a recommendation and it was EXCELLENT. Also, the homemade dressings are delicious. It was a great experience being from out of town. Will definitely come back once we’re back. April was very attentive and friendly and gave us all kinds of recommendations

Good was amazing! The entrance was VERY hard to find however. The entrance is voodoo ranger sign and the door itself looks like it goes to a butcher shop.

I had the fish and chips with a side of fried crab and pimento cheese balls with some raw oysters. The fried crab and pimento cheese balls were delicious, no complaints there! They came with a certain sauce, which was very flavorful, and I ended up using that sauce for my fish and chips meal, which was a great decision. The raw oysters were OK. I'm not big on oysters, so my opinion on those are biased. I will say that the fish and chips were great! The batter was nice and thin, crispy, while the fish portion was very large and worth the price. Add a little lemon, and it shined pretty well on its own. I don't care for tartar sauce, so the dip that came with the pimento cheese balls sufficed for dipping both the fish and the chips in. The fries were thick cut, just the way I like them, and they were seasoned well! I only wish there was an option to get some beer cheese on the side to elevate the whole experience. To me, that would have made this experience divine. Overall, however, this was a great experience and atmosphere, and I would indeed return to this place. 4/5 stars. 👍

Great place to go on the north side, especially after a concert across the street. The late night food menu is lackluster. I’ve had better chicken strips at a roller rink. Also, they were very understaffed when we went. One server was waiting on twenty tables.
