Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

First time here today. Soft chocolate custard is the best! Kind of busy, but young guy did a great job getting everyone served quickly. Might have a concrete mix next time.

We went to Rita's Italian Ice to celebrate a special occasion and were not disappointed! The store was clean and we received excellent customer service. Everyone behind the counter was really friendly and they even let us sample a few things since we had not been there before. We decided to pick the best of both worlds and got the 'Gelati'. The Italian Ice *and* the frozen custard together in one bowl was SO GOOD, it was truly a unique flavor experience and one of the best sweet treats we've had in town. If you're looking for friendly people and cool and refreshing desserts, this place is recommended by us!

We traveled all the way there just to find out they had an equipment issue the night before so the only Italian ice flavors available was blue raspberry and lemon. My least favorites. We'll go again but a post on the page would have saved us the trouble.

UPDATE: As of last week, slushy ice still not fixed. I am no longer visiting the North Academy location due to their quality. The owner did nothing to address the slushy ice issue on my previous review. The employees are fantastic but I do feel bad for them having to work with low quality product due to a lack of properly working equipment. PREVIOUS REVIEW: We absolutely love Ritas frozen Ice. We are huge fans. My past two visits however; at the North Academy location, have differed just a bit. The ice has been slushy. Not as frozen. The customer service has been great especially tonight. Around 6PM young African American girl. She had a great attitude and service with a smile.

Pricey for what it is but love their mango Italian ice.

Oliver and Reagan were amazing. Made my first time such a blast! Gelati is a definite must if you like the creaminess with your Italian ice!
