Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

The owner of this restaurant seems to be a rude, control freak! I dropped off one of her employees at 4:30am. I sat in my car for a minute to attend to some business on my phone before heading home up the mountain after driving for rideshare for the past 16 hours all night.

The owner scared the out of me loudly banging on my car window, telling me “this is her restaurant and I needed to move so all her customers wouldn’t have to drive around me” in a huge, vacant parking lot, hours before opening. ? Was that truly warranted?

I plan on sharing my experience with my rideshare passengers whenever I drive by her restaurant.

Food is just okay and the service is good. It's just always so busy and it's unfortunate that the employees don't get breaks though. It's also ridiculous my tips go into a tip pool.

I had the ribs and they were good. I've had the brisket and the turkey in the past. Everything there is good but it's nothing special. The one thing that is kind of different and fun is the large cafeteria atmosphere. And the signs about your mama not cleaning up after you are clever.

Normally the food here is pretty good - not today! I ordered a brisket sandwich with a corn on the cob. The brisket was either old and/or overcooked. It was very dry and hard to chew. Even the bread was hard, and the corn lacked flavor. I hadn’t been in a while and was so disappointed in my food overall.

This is where you get the best BBQ in the springs. Smoked turkey is incredible.
Numerous visits,,, never disappointed. I always get an extra pound of their meat to bring home for later.
