Checkout time is usually terrible I don’t think that most of the managers know how to use a register. I definitely know the old redhead does not she will just stand and watch the one register that’s usually open just watch the line grow twiddling her thumbs. So if you don’t wanna waste some your life standing in line because it’s not 3’s a crowd more like 7 at this Safeway head up the hill to king soopers or I hate to say it Walmart on union is close to this neighborhood. And why would you put one of the 2 slowest gentlemen on the one register that’s open at 5 pm probably the busiest time of the day?? If either one of them were any slower I have to believe their hearts would stop. I enjoy a few of the employees that are super cool . I go into this Safeway a few times a week because it’s close but tonight it was so slow I left my shopping cart full of groceries right there on the floor.

Staff has integrity. Last week i had dropped a little cash and hadn't realized it. Thought i just misplaced it. Today went in and the manager flagged me down to let me know i dropped it and had been saving it to return to me. 10/10

It's convenient because their close to my house. However, everyone seems to hate their jobs and have a miserable time because I never see anyone smile, say hi or say have a good day. It's pretty sad that the company cannot provide for their employees so they can have a better life for the individuals that are CLEARLY not having a good time.

I just got another annoying text from Safeway. I guess the big algorithm realizes I haven’t shopped there in a while. Which reminds me that maybe I need to review this store.
Is it just normal store policy to follow people around and treat everyone like a criminal? I used to shop there several times a week, but the hovering around me became too uncomfortable. I started sending my daughter (who works a few doors down from the store ) and she said that she’s never going back there because they followed her around to a point where she wanted to leave.
Too bad because it was convenient for me. I guess I can check out Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Costco, King Soopers, and Whole Foods.
You can continue running good customers away. I have other options.

Hilarious STAFF here. Just really freaking funny guys I'll tell you what. You got a guy walking around like a girl, you got a slimmer woman with doodle tattoos all over her. Literally looks like a 2 year old doodled all over her body. Comedic genius! Oh and yeah that's right. THEY COULDNT EVEN HELP ME FIND NAPKINS. They were totally high on something and deluded.

I have used Bon Safeway fairly regularly over the years, mainly for convenience and wanting to support having a neighborhood market. It gets harder and harder to maintain this relationship due to higher prices, poor customer service, low energy employees, and especially the wonky carts. There is no such thing as a quiet shopping experience at Bon. I have talked to customer service about it and you’d think they might try and get corporate involved, but it seems more likely that Safeway sends all the wonky carts to Bon. Seems like an easy fix, but obviously not. I now only shop there out of desperation.

Judy and Steven are amazing. Always a pleasure to see you guys and thank you for being so helpful. I specifically visit this location because of them.

I am not a negative review writer. I've been coming to this safeway multiple times a week for years at this point since I live so close. The staff is awesome and friendly and even though the store is smaller than other locations and they sometimes don't have more obscure ingredients that I'm looking for, it's still a generally nice experience whenever I go. My issue with the store is Linda - since I've first seen her, she's hovered to an uncomfortable extent at self checkout. I understand that customers need to be watched due to theft risk, but I've seen her get in people's personal space, speak incredibly condescendingly, and interrupted rudely to try and jump in and "help" people scan their stuff (???). To me, it really truly feels like racial profiling at times - I've seen an incident where a Black woman and her young daughter overtly accused her of doing so and I was inclined to agree. When she's not intrusive and pushy, she's downright unpleasant. I've politely asked her for help with coupons/random self checkout issues multiple times - she's always immediately huffy and rude, as if I've horribly inconvenienced her. She's unhelpful and combative when you try to explain anything to her. I've had to stop and just accept errors to my payment just so the interactions could end. Why they keep putting her in such a customer-facing role is beyong me.

*EDIT* Very much appreciate them encouraging me to reach out to the Store Director so I can talk more about this. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to contact on the site besides the store's phone number - I called and asked for the director but he wasn't in (it was also Linda who answered, who I don't think passed on my contact info to him like I asked). Hopefully I find a way to get in touch because I'd like to get in contact.

Expensive, not worth it.

It almost feels like they damage at least one wheel on every shopping cart to make the experience as poor as possible. On the plus side you know what you are going to get, a wonky cart.

Always great customer service. Love coming to see the team. They have become more like friends.

Bag of rice for $12.49.
Same bag at Natural Grocers for $8?
Weird. What a bunch of crooks. Kroger.

Went in at 1050 to grab one thing, manager was at the door and they were locked. I brought it to her attention the time and that the store hours are listed as closing at 11 and she refused to open the door, saying something about calling the cops. She is waisting company time and money. Watched her turn a handful of guest away. Not the first time.

DeAnna

Says they close at 11 but the manager had the doors locked by 10:50, threatening to call the cops. Pretty ridiculous.
