Reasonable prices. Excellent food. The service was quick and friendly. Lunch specials include egg roll, soup, and fried rice at APPX $13 per plate. Will definitely return.
Food and service are phenomenal.
I’m not here to talk about authenticity. Because at the end of the day, authentic or not, if it tastes good, it tastes good. The soup was rich and thick, just the way I like it. The pan fried noodles were heavy with the sauce, also outstanding. A little of the salty side, but I prefer salty over bland any day. Will return for more.
Taste like food truck at fair
Horrible food. Dry and old meat, same sause used in every dish. Pathetic that they even charge high prices for that inedible food. The place is old, outdated and just sad inside. The servers are doing their best... the chef really needs to go. 🤮🤮🤮
This was such an amazing Saturday experience. The food was wonderful. Egg soup was so much better then I dreamed possible. Loved the tea, so very flavorful. The whole place exuded calm and peace. I truly loved the meal and ambience!
First of all the food is awesome and Phillip our waiter was the best. I met a friend and we sat there for quite a while and nobody was bothered by it. Definitely recommend this place👍👍👍
Very clean. Great, friendly service. Food was fresh and served quickly.
Shangri-La is once again the premier chinese food restaurant in the Springs. Their prices are in line with the quality and quantity of food you get. Great Staff!

I have read the reviews. Not to discredit anyone's bad experience but I know the new owner. He is a compassionate honest man with integrity. He cares about his customer's experience. Please allow him the opportunity to make good should you have unsatisfactory experience. Every restaurant from time to time has an unsatisfactory experience. The owners of Shangri-La no doubt will do anything to satisfy you. Give them a second chance. You will not find yourself calling a 800 number hoping someone from corporate understands your feelings.

This restaurant is still our favorite Chinese food place. Very busy on Xmas eve and NYE! Make a reservation in advance or order your food a few days early for take away. I ordered 24 hours in advance and my 6:00 PM order was ready by 6:15 PM. There were patrons there who ordered same day a few hours early that were waiting for an hour.
Food was excellent. They returned to the red pork bits in their PFR versus the gray strips they had 0previously. Yay!

Called Dec 24th to make sure they were open on Christmas day and there was no mention of reservations. On Christmas day they didn't answer the phone, and they were not accepting online orders. So we went to the restaurant. When we got there, they couldn't tell us how long it would be to be seated. It was obvious that it was not a space issue but a staffing issue. After waiting 15 minutes and asking the cashier how much longer, he went and found someone to ask. An additional 30 minutes to be seated. So we just ordered takeout. 30 minute wait for that. I mentioned that I preferred sit down to take out because I think the portions are larger eating in. The clerk said, "Yes, I think so too." Waiting on our takeout now. Now, i realize that this is Christmas day, but i think that they should have been a bit more prepared. Unless the food is the best Chinese we've ever had, we won't be going back. I'll update after we eat...
UPDATE: Nope...as another reviewer stated, you'll get better from Panda Express. The Kung Pau Chicken Was laughably mild - absolutely no spiciness at all. The chicken in all three of our dishes (Kung pau, Bourbon and Sweet and Sour) was dry and overcooked, some of it even crunchy. Sauces were very bland. Sorry but we won't be going back.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Fried rice was dry as heck, the calamari was stale and the salt and pepper pork was not even salt and peppered. Beware do not come here. I ordered it on uber eats and already brought it up to them for terrible food quality

I'm just leaving 1s across the board because of the incredibly bad customer service. Basically, they were so overwhelmed by a relatively small crowd that they turned our entire party away after we drove from the northside and then waited for 30 minutes.
On Christmas Day, 2024, we called an hour ahead to make sure that they were open. I spoke to a person on the phone who told us that they were open and had tables ready. The person didn't make any mention of reservations they said they would be available to see us.
When we got to the restaurant there were about 4 people waiting, we were told that there was a significant wait time - it wasn't crowded. Even though there weren't tons of people waiting and we were asked if we had a reservation. Then after waiting 30 minutes they told us that they probably wouldn't be able to see it for a while because other people were coming in with the reservations. I've never seen a restaurant turn away people because there may be people with reservations coming later. It was pretty outrageous.
We didn't end up eating here because we waited forever only to be told that they probably wouldn't be able to seat us.
