I have MANY things to say about this Sonic 8th street location:1. When Miguel was managing it, in the ten- year period prior to Covid, it was one of my favorite stops. I was there pretty much daily (well, okay—weekly?), and the food and service were incredible. The place was well loved—decorated for the holidays, employees seemed happy and friendly, the ordering kiosks actually WORKED, everything on the menu (including ice/ice water/ice cream/any drink needing ICE as a necessary ingredient /cups/straws/napkins/plasticware/lids) were actually AVAILABLE WITH YOUR ORDER, there weren’t HAND-WRITTEN SIGNS posted DAILY about EVERYTHING UNAVAILABLE that day/week/month/year—an overall fun place to enjoy burgers/fries/ice cream/soda drinks;2. Post-Covid, as with many fast-food establishments, the place went DOWNHILL so quickly and painfully that any type of recovery seemed, and still continues to seem, nearly impossible. For example, one morning about a year ago (spring 2023), I decided to take the risk and order a Diet Coke upon opening—I said “hello” into the speaker and was met with a soft female voice that sounded like the owner was crying. I talked with this poor young woman for several minutes about how she was supposed to open this location alone, and had come a bit earlier to discover that no orders (of anything? I wasn’t sure, but sounded about right) had been made for the week ahead, and so she could offer pretty much nothing to me but (thankfully!) a soda. We talked over the speaker and then at the drive-up window for a while longer about how in the world she was going to make it through her day—I sure hope she gave her notice by that evening;3. Most recently, like TODAY, my husband decided to give it yet another chance. He waited in line behind two cars, each eventually pulling away in frustration without ordering after approx 10 minutes of waiting to order. My husband, undaunted, decided to go for it. After making his way through the MANY handwritten signs indicating what was NOT available for today, he was met over the speaker by a young man (he came later to know as “Chris”), who let him know that, additionally, there was no ice available. (Isn’t this the CRUX of Sonic as we know it—the ice??) My husband asked if there was ice cream available, to which Chris replied, “You don’t need ICE to make ICE CREAM, right??!?”(Actually, Chris, I think you do—just not the Sonic “ice cream.” Oh boy.). My husband was more than a little upset, and I’m afraid he let Chris have it over said speaker (????). Needless to write, this will be our last time at the once-wonderful-and-amazing 8th street Sonic.

The person who serves is rude.We went around 4 pm on April 5, 2024.We are customers of that branch because it is close to Walmart.We definitely won't be back.

Yikes. I’ve visited this location many times because it’s closest to my work and the experiences are consistently bad. The majority of the time online ordering is disabled, and the most recent time I tried to go, I pushed the button and waited for several minutes with no answer. I was the only car there! I thought maybe they were randomly closed in the middle of the day but then I saw several employees inside. I would advise everyone to go to literally any other Sonic in the Springs. It’s worth it to me to drive further to get my drink so I definitely won’t be back. I’m not sure what’s up with this franchise owner but they desperately need to be more involved.

The wait was terrible. There are a bunch of places to pull into but not enough servers. After waiting, I was told that the chicken would take 10 minutes additional -so I left. Then i drove around and asked for a burger. The burger was good, but I wanted the chicken. So I probably wouldn't try it again.

If I could give a negative 5 I would. I ordered thru the app. But all the stalls say there is someone there. Like in the stall. Every stall. I checked. Currently just sitting in the line as I call and no one picks up. If you can't handle orders then close down. You're stealing money from people who can't cancel their app orders because you can't handle them. Now the phone has a no service tone.

Overall terrible I was working there very dirty very unorganized they don’t clean there fryers it’s a bad environment I got sent home cause the manger there Chris he’s very rude to anyone he doesn’t like anyone there he cross contaminated chicken and bacon have raw product in his hands making the milkshakes this place needs the be shut down and sued because of the health risk to the customers and the amount of mold there is on the walls

This is by far one of the WORST sonic drive-thrus I have ever been to. We sat with the call button pressed for 15-20 minutes before anyone picked up the call. Once they finally did start taking our order they needed us to repeat each item we ordered at least 2-3x.Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome at a Sonic, but if you’re in a rush or have hungry kids, DO NOT waste your time at this location.

Horrible experience at the 8th street location around noon on 03/01/2024. I ordered a medium chocolate chip cookie dough shake and the picture is what I got. First off, when placing our order, the guy kept cutting us off while we were mid ordering. Then he came out with the shake & when my fiancé asked if that was the correct size for a medium & if it could be remade because it wasn’t full, the guy gave us attitude & stated “ well I wasn’t the one who made it so” & walked off.I’ve worked fast food before, I know there can be rude customers but we were literally 1 out of 2 other cars that were there, we are polite to the workers because we know how stressful working fast food can be. This is unacceptable & just completely rude. The male was Caucasian, wearing a blue button shirt with blonde facial hair-I didn’t catch his name. Please advise how I can go about getting a refund.
