We had Sugarplum Cake Shoppe make our wedding cake and it was absolutely perfect. Not only was the design beautiful and exactly what we envisioned, but the flavors were out of this world. Every layer was moist, delicious, and had our guests raving. People are still talking about how good the cake was.

Amanda was amazing to work with. She made the whole process easy and enjoyable, from the tasting to the final design. She really listened to what we wanted and brought it to life perfectly. We couldn’t have been happier and would recommend Sugarplum to anyone looking for a cake that tastes just as incredible as it looks.

10/10 highly recommend this little bakery. I looked high and low for someone who could make a little cake for my daughters birthday they absolutely nailed what she asked for! It was delicious as well! This will be our new little go to bakery from now on! Thank you!

Really enjoyed my birthday cake from this shop!!

Sugarplum created a gorgeous and delicious semi-naked vanilla cake including a tier that was vegan! It was just the right size for our wedding celebration and our guests loved it. Delivery was prompt and easy, thank you for making our day even more special!

Super disappointed in this experience. I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday - submit an intake form online and heard back via a phone call about a week before the event. We confirmed all details including pickup time, design, etc. over the phone and I even paid in full. The morning of the party, I decided to call to double check that everything was still on track and was extremely concerned when I could hear on the other end that they had not yet started the cake. They asked me to come an hour after the initial scheduled time, which I was not able to make as it’s when the party started. They said no problem and they would have it ready at noon as scheduled. On my way to the store I called to re-re-confirm that my order would be ready and I was reassured once again that it would be ready. When I arrived, my order was indeed NOT ready and I could hear the baker at the back rushing through the order. I ended up having to wait and ultimately received a poor quality, rushed cake that was falling apart with uneven coating (attaching photo). This was such a frustrating experience overall and very poor customer service. Do not recommend.

Disappointing customer service.

We wanted to do a custom design on a dairy-free sheet cake for a retirement party. We called a week in advance and explained the request. We were told they could accommodate the order and requested date, and that we could submit the full request via their online portal to attach the design image and mention that we had called on the phone and talked to someone already. When we called the morning of the party to confirm the pickup time, we were told there was no cake. That it's their policy to only accept so many orders from the online portal, regardless that we talked to someone on the phone and were told that the order was good to go and despite that their own website says to call or use the form to confirm they can accommodate a date. Worse, they didn't even bother to reach out and let us know that the order was [retroactively] not being fulfilled.

While in hindsight we should have called sooner to confirm an order we thought was already confirmed was actually confirmed (*eye roll), it's a major disappointment. They weren't even apologetic. In fact, we were told to check King Soopers, Costco, or Walmart to get a different sheet cake instead. So good to know they consider their cakes on par with King Soopers, Costco, and Walmart (none of which can accommodate dairy-free frosting). Business must be good to be able to disregard customers so uncaringly. We will let our campus peers know what kind of service this place offers.

THEY KILLED THIS! Absolutely brought my idea to life!!

We had them do our wedding cake and desserts years ago and absolutely loved them!
So for my birthday this year I decided to go back and get the same thing we got for it wedding because we constantly talk about how great it was, we rarely do cake for our birthdays because we have little ones and as you get older it’s just not that big of a deal.
Well this time… cake was not it. Ordered champagne cake it was good, light fluffy but absolutely no taste of champagne. I also got amaretto filling. I don’t know if maybe they changed recipes or what but what I got was not close to any amaretto I’ve tasted and it completely over powered everything! And honestly the amaretto was what I was most looking forward to. Buttercream, no complaints really it wasn’t too sweet, decent buttercream frosting.

Sugarplum did the cake and treats for our wedding and WOW! The cake was exactly what we wanted and was easily the best tasting wedding cake we've ever had. It was moist, flavorful, and we could have eaten the whole thing ourselves :) The rice krispy treats were fabulous, and added a great pop of color to our table. Sugarplum was super easy to work with, they even provided the cake stand plus the cake cutter so we didn't have to worry about it. We just celebrated our wedding yesterday and we continue to hear from guests about our dessert (especially the pink champagne passion fruit cupcakes) on how delicious the dessert bar was.
The wedding cake was unbelievable and so beautiful (almond cake with raspberry filling).
Amanda and staff were a delight to work with and so accommodating.
It was a pleasure to work with them and I am ready for another celebration just to eat the desserts!

you guys made my husband and I the most beautiful baby shower cake, pick up of it was amazing, and the cake was absolutely delicious. I couldn't be happier with the turn out of it- I'm absolutely going to your guys' shop every time I need a cake!

Ordered just 18 cupcakes for a special event. The ordering and payment process were simple and quick. But the cupcakes were very small for the price. Only 3 inches tall of cake and then half an inch of frosting. Not alot to look at. You get twice a much bang for your buck at small cakes. They were pretty yummy, but underwhelming.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience. From cake tasting, to the design and delivery! We had so much fun tasting, choosing the flavors! We did a two tier cake and a dessert bar. The dessert bar was the biggest hit!!
We requested our cake to look like an aspen tree…. And WOW. Nailed it. Everything tasted great too. They delivered to my venue & provided the cake plate / board.
