My favorite Sushi restaurant in all of Colorado. I live in Aurora but travel to Westcliffe frequently. It’s my last stop for sushi and it’s so amazing. Love the Godzilla roll, crunchy and Avalanche 2. Also the fresh wasabi is amazing to sprinkle on the rolls especially the Godzilla roll.

2/14/25 Update: Valentine's dinner was unfortunately ruined, because while they got my wife's sushi order right (even bringing it to her in a cute sushi boat), they completely disregarded my own food order. After my wife finished her meal and there was no sign of mine, I told them to just forget it. (And as usual our bill was wrong and I had to have them fix it.) By this point we had waited over an hour.
I really do want to keep coming here. But what can I do to get them to not screw up our order?
-- This is a charming little spot and in most respects it's what a Japanese restaurant should be: intimate, warm, and without gimmicks.
GOOD: Food, atmosphere. The sushi here is almost always nice.
MEH: It all falls apart when they get busy. Don't come here on a weekend or holiday unless you are exceedingly patient.
My wife and I adore this place and we'll keep coming back. But I must tell you that they have screwed up our food order or our bill almost every single time we've been here.

The sushi was absolutely exceptional, with every piece crafted to perfection. The freshness and quality of the ingredients truly stood out. Every roll had a mild yet perfectly balanced sauce that awakened my taste.
It was the best sushi restaurant I experienced during my trip to the U.S. On top of that, the staff provided impeccable service, being both attentive and genuinely welcoming. I can't recommend this place highly enough—it’s a must-visit for sushi lovers!

This place is fantastic. Hands down the best sushi place in the country. The sushi is always top notch and they are only place I know of in Colorado springs that has fresh wasabi. If you've not had fresh wasabi you have no idea what your missing. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone 11/10.

The food was fresh and tasted great, our server was fantastic and took great care of us, and the sushi chef even made the kiddo a little strawberry critter that made her whole day. This will definitely be our sushi stop in the future.

I loved going here. Have been a few times! The last time I went I actually got food poisoning trying a new roll. I don’t recommend their tuna sushi. Or maybe it was just bad that day. Worst 48 hours of my life. Overall, the service is great and atmosphere is chill! Hope no one has the same experience i did my last time there.
