I went here for a comedy show with my friends and I had a great time! The servers were very personable and easy-going. It felt like we were just hanging out with other friends the whole night!

The setting was fine, but coming earlier in the night we knew it was going to be pretty quiet and slow, not the typical vibe for a bar. We were disappointed in the pricing of our food, which still left us pretty hungry, by the games offered, which were not well-kept and many were missing valuable pieces like pens, papers, and erasers. Our dishes were not exactly clean, my drink had a lipstick stain on the rim, our plates had grubby marks, and my friend's cup had leftover residue from a previous drink. It was a fine experience overall, we had a good time together and service was decently attentive, but I don't think we would come back.

Different and fun. The staff is great. Eclectic holiday menu and favorites, exceptionally prepared. Drinks are excellent. The other diners were fun as well, great atmosphere if a bit Diablo-like decor. Will definitely return soon for more great food and fun.

Three days before Valentine's Day, we get this timely message from the 59er via Open Table: ____________________________ Fifty-Niner!Hello! Unfortunately we have overbooked for Valentine's Day due to an event we have taking place at 7 PM. Opentables and the other website wherein we were selling tickets (Eventbrite) did not sync correctly, so we will be over maximum capacity for the time you initially made your reservation time for. This is due to our personal oversight and we apologize profusely for the mistake. If you would like to come in before the event and leave before 7 PM, you are more than welcome to, but you will not have a full 2-hour time block as per the usual and will have to leave before the event starts. We can also put you on a waitlist and have the possibility (but not guarantee) to seat you based on turnout before the event begins at 7 PM. ______________________________ Ruined our Valentine's Day plans, and their solution is not the least bit helpful if you work till 5pm. A nice note doesn't fix the problem they caused due to their IT incompetence, and who plans a big event but takes reservations on top of that? I did that years ago, without a computer... No worries. Will never cross your threshold.

Boardgames

Music was amazing! I loved the atmosphere, live music and lots of boardgames to play while you eat, wait and enjoy the music The food is a bit pricy but worth it We got a couple margarita pizzas which were awesome! We also got the house margaritas which were made to perfection. Keep in mind that the game shop store front closes before the Fifty-Niner so if you plan to stay for the music you will have to leave out the back, keep this in mind when deciding where to park Overall this may become my new favorite date night and especially double date night spot.

Great little bar, good cocktails, tasty pizza, and welcoming staff! I’d highly recommend this place even if board games aren’t your thing. If they are your thing, then oh boy is this the place for you!

We sat at the beautiful couch, had drinks, food, played games and it was fun!! Super neat hide away! If you get the chance do it, it was super out of our normal and I'd totally go back!! (Their drinks are pretty great, so was the Panini)

Eclectic place. We don't drink, so mostly visiting for a place to play games with friends. Good selection... something for everyone!Food menu is limited. I recommend looking at options online before you go. Friends got panini which came with a personal/ small bucket of chips and bowl of a few slides dill pickles. Price seemed fair and menu descriptions accurate. The charcuterie boards, not so much. We ordered the combo meat with the cheese board. You get $2 off that way vs ordering separately, but I wonder if we would have more food to order separately? Both were to come with nuts, tomatoes, and artichokes. Would we have had double the amount if boards were separate? Meats were ok for the price, but cheeses, we got 2T of white cheddar, 2T of bleu cheese. Other cheese sticks had a decent portion. Walnuts were candied. Small bits of orange slices around board weren't that great, but hey, that's produce in the Rockies in winter, eh? That was the only fruit on the board, adding up to 1/4-1/2 an orange. Overall, the board was pretty, and stuff on it was yummy, but they should say how much you get outright I think.Servers very attentive.Radio music had some 70s songs in the mix. Nice for us "older" crowd folks.Decor odd but fun... only mounted dragon heads in a restaurant I have ever seen.Definitely recommend for a first date or anniversary when you just need to try a new, fun place.Despite concerns on expected portion size for board, I definitely recommend this place!

This is a fun idea and location. The feeling of it being an upscale speakeasy is lost though. For a Friday Night, it's obvious there was a small effort placed in ambiance and service. Chairs were pushed up against the stage, making it difficult to get in and out. Food seemed it was being stretched for budget, not coming close to the cost vs. value. Unfortunately; I don't think we'll be coming back.

Love the speak-easy vibe. The pizza was SO good and so were their drinks. Their board game selection was pretty big, but I would've liked a larger variety of strategy games. It does also seem you can bring in your own games, which is always nice. I absolutely will be back!

We found this place while doing a weekend in Manitou Springs. It's a speakeasy where you can play games (lots of options supplied) have some cocktails and snacks! Loved the vibe and decor! The only reason I am docking one point is because the craft cocktails are pretty pricey for the size. Cool names and they all tasted good but they are very small. Our server was nice and attentive so no issues there. I would recommend the place but stick to beer, wine and canned drinks.

Really great quiet speakeasy, great food and friendly atmosphere

We are big fans of board games, so this place was a hit! As they were taking us to the back, these guys shopping for board games had no idea it was a speakeasy bar! We could hear them whisper, "Where are they going?" we played 4 different games during our 2 hours, it was hard to pick just one! My pizza was delicious, perfectly cooked, and enough to fill me up, but you definitely could share it for a table. I chose the hot chocolate, so rich, and it tasted as if it had a little mint to it, and I liked that! The server was kind, she didn't check in us much, but I think they want you to enjoy playing the games without interruption, so they keep water at your table to serve yourself. One downside is, the tables are VERY close to one another, to try and get a seat in the booth, you are sliding between the two tables, almost knocking over drinks or messing up a game. For a speakeasy, it's bright, but they do want you to be able to play games, and the selection of games is vast! What is so wonderful is you can buy a game right after if you loved it! If you like board games, come check this place out!
